  • Patent number: 12055052
Abstract: Fan module for an aircraft turbine engine, the module including a fan having variable-pitch blades and an oil-transfer device configured to transfer oil between a stator and a rotor. The device includes a stator ring having internal oil ducts, a shaft engaged in the ring and having internal oil ducts, and a plain bearing and rolling bearings which are mounted between the ring and the shaft, the ring including first fluidic-connection ports which are configured to cooperate by male-female engagement with ends of oil-supply sockets during blind assembly of the device by axial translation downstream of the device as a whole.

  • Publication number: 20140102257
Abstract: A method and system for the copper anode refining is provided in which coherent jet technology is employed to heat the molten blister copper and/or melt scrap copper charges using a melting flame, oxidize the sulfur in the molten blister copper, and reduce the oxygen in the molten blister copper using top-blown coherent jet gas streams from one or more multi-functional, coherent jet lance assemblies. The present system and method employs a microprocessor-based controller operatively controlling the flow of an oxygen-containing gas, an inert gas, a reducing agent and a fuel to the coherent jet lance. The disclosed copper anode refining system and method greatly improves copper production while lowering oxidation /reduction cycle times and minimizing NOx emissions.

  • Publication number: 20090088059
Abstract: A method of sawing a pig carcass or the like, in which the starting point is a situation where a circular saw blade, carried by a saw head having a casing projecting from it at the front and downwards, is placed opposite and away from the top extreme part, where the hams are situated, of a carcass ready to saw, suspended head down by the rear legs, and then in a first step, the saw blade is moved transversely with a respect to and in the direction of the carcass, and then between the hams, in a second step, the saw blade being driven in rotation, the axial relative position of the carcass with respect to the saw blade being controlled, the saw blade is moved downwards from its top extreme position as far as a bottom extreme position in order to saw the carcass in two, axially, in a third step, the sawing of the carcass being ended, the saw blade is moved transversely with respect to the carcass in order to move it away from it.

  • Patent number: 6393353
Abstract: A hydraulic fuel control unit (100) for an aircraft engine comprises means (14, 2, 16) for controlling cutoff on stop and cutoff on overspeed of a fuel flow transferred by an output (1) to the engine injectors. A logic module (140) controls the position of a state switch (121, 143) into a test position or a normal position. The state module is managed such that the operation of the overspeed module can be tested each time the system is started on the ground. The architecture of the hydraulic unit (100) is such that operation of the cutoff on stop can be tested during each landing. Correct operation in the overspeed test and in the cutoff on stop test is observed by detecting a difference between a control value (153) of an allowable fuel flow that depends mainly on the engine speed, and a real flow value detected by sensors (22).
