  • Publication number: 20230210695
Abstract: An ultraviolet laser-based (UVL) laser vision correction (LVC) system, a contact interface and a contact interface system for such a UVL-LVC system. The invention facilitates a coupling and affixation between the patient's eye and the UVL-LVC system by application of a contact interface for the purposes of preventing eye movements when using UVL-LVC systems. The invention includes a UVL-LVC system with a base unit and an application arm which has a contact interface adapter on an application part of the application arm, to which a contact interface is affixable, the contact interface being usable to be to affix a patient's eye to the UVL-LVC system. The contact interface may have a conical wall and a suction ring but not a lens element, and optionally has an access opening or a corresponding contact interface system made of a contact interface adapter and a contact interface.

  • Publication number: 20230201035
Abstract: A method for aligning a system for laser-based ametropia correction relative to a patient's eye to be treated is disclosed. Predefined pre-operative measurement data which characterize at least predetermined structures of the patient's eye is provided. The predetermined structures include a part of the patient's eye to be treated. In addition, the method includes measuring at least one part of the predetermined structures of the patient's eye using an OCT system immediately before and/or during treatment for ametropia correction of the patient's eye and providing OCT measurement data, and comparing the OCT measurement data and the predefined pre-operative measurement data and preparing comparative data. The method also includes ascertaining a position and/or orientation of the part of the patient's eye to be treated relative to the system and aligning the system relative to the patient's eye using the ascertained position and/or orientation of the part of the patient's eye.

  • Publication number: 20230181365
Abstract: A UV-laser-based system (UVL-LVC system) for correcting the impaired vision of a patient's eye has a UV-laser source, which emits laser radiation to treat the patient's eye, and imaging optics for focusing the laser radiation onto the cornea of the patient's eye. The imaging optics allow a detection of a reflection of radiation, which is emitted onto the cornea of the patient's eye with the imaging optics and is at least partly reflected by the cornea of the patient's eye back into the imaging optics at an acceptance angle ?Max of at least 2.5°. Additionally a method for centering a UVL-LVC system is disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20220296418
Abstract: The claimed embodiments relate to methods for characterizing a laser beam (24) of a laser processing system (30). The method includes a) providing an aperture arrangement (10) with a plurality of apertures (14) in a work plane (300) of the laser processing system (30) such that the apertures (14) extend within the work plane (300). The method also includes b) scanning the laser beam (24) along a scanning direction (200) parallel to the work plane (300) across the aperture arrangement (10) in such a way that the laser beam (24) at least partially sweeps over the apertures (14).

  • Patent number: 10882541
Abstract: The invention relates to a height control mechanism for a rail vehicle comprising suspension units that are arranged between the body and the bogie of the rail vehicle and that each comprise a spring, a pneumatic or a hydraulic reciprocating piston element. In accordance with the invention, the reciprocating piston element is retracted so much in train operation that it does not bridge the spacing between the body and the bogie.

  • Patent number: 5290216
Abstract: A roller comprises a thermocouple delivering a voltage signal which is converted by converting mechanism carried by the roller into a stabilized signal whose magnitude is independent of the resistance of the output circuit. The stabilized signal is transmitted to the fixed part of the measuring circuit by a device comprising slip rings and fixed collectors. The converting mechanisms are disposed in a case of the roller and provided with an air cooling device. The air is channelled in the case by annular supports and frames carrying the converting mechanism. Application in the measurement of the temperature of flat products travelling through a continuous annealing furnace.

  • Patent number: 5279534
Abstract: A roller is provided with at least one thermocouple for measuring the temperature of a product or sheet. The roller comprises a hollow cylindrical body whose outer surface cooperates by contact with the sheet. The thermocouple removably extends through a guide tube which extends inside the roller and is carried by supports. The end of the guide tube through which the hot junction of the thermocouple extends is fixed in a position perpendicular to the wall of cylindrical body. This end of the guide tube opens onto a blind hole provided in the wall of the cylindrical body where the hot junction of the thermocouple is received. Application in the measurement of the temperature of the sheet of an annealing furnace of a continuous treatment process.
