  • Patent number: 7972720
Abstract: In the production of a secondary electrochemical generator comprising a container with a casing (3) and a cover (4), the stage of electric coupling of a connection to a current output is designed so that the length of the connection does not allow it to come into contact with the current output when the cover is not in its closed position. This stage comprises the following steps: a first end (22) of the connection is electrically connected to an electrode (2), the cover is placed on the casing in order to close the container so that the second end (23) of the connection is in physical contact with the current output which is electrically insulated from the casing, and an electric current is applied between the casing and the current output so as to weld the second end of the connection to the current output.

  • Patent number: 7053591
Abstract: A power conversion device contains an electronic circuit for sensing an output current characteristic of an output drive device. The characteristic of the current through the output drive device is sensed and communicated to a switching device for controlling a sensing current. The switching device is coupled to the output drive device and senses the output current of the output drive device. The switching device produces a sensing current proportional to the sensed output current. An internal resistance device is used for producing a sensing voltage. The internal resistance device is coupled with the switching device and receives the sensing current. The internal resistance device provides the sensing voltage from the sensing current proportional to the current through the output drive device.

  • Patent number: 6917235
Abstract: An integrated circuit (IC) uses a current source coupled to means for current-to-voltage conversion to reject the unwanted high voltage signal and detects the wanted small voltage signal. In particular, the current source produces mirrored currents proportional to the high voltage signal, while the means for converting current-to-voltage rejects the common-mode current when there is no small signal voltage flowing through the sensing resistor. On the other hand, when the small signal voltage exists, a current flows across the sensing resistor and disturbs the balance of the current mirror. As a result, the common mode no longer exists and the means for converting current-to-voltage converts and amplifies this small signal current into a voltage proportional to the small voltage signal.

  • Patent number: 6656640
Abstract: The invention provides an electrode comprising a porous three-dimensional conductive support containing an electrochemically active material, said support having at least a first edge connected to a connection piece and at least a second edge substantially parallel to said first edge, and means for preventing said active material disposed along said second edge from moving. Said means is selected from: a piece having a U-shaped fold placed stride said second edge; a surface covering; and treatment to modify the texture of said support. The electrode is used as a positive electrode in a second electrochemical cell of the nickel metal hydride type.

  • Patent number: 6154161
Abstract: An integrated, multi-input audio mixer receiving a plurality of analog input signals, internally digitizing the analog input signals, digitally processing and mixing the digitized input signals and producing both digital and analog representations of the mixed inputs. All analog inputs are applied to half of a full delta-sigma analog-to-digital converter. That is, each input is applied to a respective delta-sigma modulator, but all the delta-sigma modulators share a single sigma-decimation filter. The output of each delta/sigma modulator controls a respective multiplexer having a separate input channel for each quantization level of its respective delta/sigma modulator. The output of the multiplexers is selectively applied to a summing circuit. The output from the summing circuit is applied to a D/A converter to provide an analog output, and is also applied to the single sigma-decimation filter, which recovers the mixed data from the delta/sigma modulators.
