  • Publication number: 20230365745
Abstract: The present invention relates to a heat shrinkable film having a shrink onset temperature of 60° C. or lower and a shrink tension of 6 N/mm2 or lower. The film comprises a copolyester and/or copolyester blend derived from components including a terephthalic acid or an ester thereof; ethylene glycol (EG); 2-methyl-1,3-propanediol (MPO); diethylene glycol (DEG); and one or both of 2-dimethylpropane-1,3-diol (NPG) and 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol (CHDM).

  • Patent number: 11358363
Abstract: The invention relates to a heat-shrinkable film comprising a first polymer ply A comprising at least one dark pigment, a second polymer ply B comprising at least one white pigment, wherein the thickness ratio of the first ply A is in the range of 5:95 to 50:50, the film has a thickness of 20 ?m bis 100 ?m, the light transmission of the film is not more than 12%, and the film after 15 seconds in a water bath having a temperature of 95° C. exhibits shrinkage in a main shrinking direction in the range of 20% to 85%. The invention further relates to a hose comprising such a heat-shrinkable film and to a process for producing such a heat-shrinkable film.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 10112370
Abstract: A film is provided that has three layers. The inventive films are made of semicrystalline or amorphous copolyesters and further include two exterior layers and an interior layer. The exterior layers include neopentyl-glycol-modified polyethylene terephthalate, while the interior layer includes 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol-modified polyethylene terephthalate. The inventive films advantageously provide a shrink film that has a shrink performance similar to that of shrink films made of PVC.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 29, 2014
Date of Patent: October 30, 2018
    Assignee: Klöckner Pentaplast GmbH
