Abstract: A tool (20) and a method for shaping an elongated deformable member for a hearing aid (1). The tool is manufactured using a rapid prototyping process. The tool comprises a first holding means (21) for a first end of the elongated member, a second holding means (31) for holding a second end of the elongated member, and positioning means (26,28) for positioning and holding intermediate parts of said elongated member between said first end and said second end in a fixed desired shape. The shaping a of the deformable elongated member comprises the steps of placing the first end of the elongated member in a predetermined position, positioning said intermediate parts of said elongated member in a predetermined position, placing the second end of the elongated member in a predetermined position, heating said elongated member, and cooling said elongated member.

Abstract: An earplug (7) for a hearing aid (1), in particular for a BTE-type hearing aid, has a front end (8) and a rear end (9). The front end (8) is adapted to be inserted into an ear canal of a wearer. The earplug (7) comprises a main body part (10) comprising a longitudinal bore (11) extending along a centrally arranged axis (A-A) of the earplug (7), and at least one sound output passage (17) in communication with said longitudinal bore (11) and leading to a sound output opening (18). The earplug also has a collar (19), which is adapted to engage the wall of an ear canal and surrounds the main body part (10). The output opening (18) has at least one edge part (18a) located in a retracted manner with respect to said front end (8).

Abstract: An earpiece (2) for a hearing aid (12) comprises a plug (20) for contacting the meatus of the users ear canal, a contact element (13) for resting against an inside of the users tragus and or the ear canal, and a fixture for holding the plug and the contact element together, the fixture having means for adjusting the spacing between the plug and the contact element. The invention further provides a hearing aid.
