    Abstract: An electronically operated portable fastener driving tool is disclosed. Fasteners are driven into a workpiece by a driver blade which is actuated by a solenoid powered by a source of alternating current. Each actuation of the device produces a predetermined plurality of driving strokes being delivered to a fastener. The tool is also provided with means for preventing more than one fastener from being driven during each actuation of the tool.
