  • Patent number: 9911071
Abstract: The disclosed method, and corresponding system, for controlling items on a production/distribution line relies on secure identification of items transported arranged in a given disposition along a transport path at a site of collection and packaging of the items, and association of ID data of some of the packed items with corresponding packaging ID data so as to ensure reliable identification of package content delivered on the line.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 23, 2012
Date of Patent: March 6, 2018
    Assignee: SICPA HOLDING SA
Inventors: Yvan Collombet, Daniel Cotsford, Rodrigo Lorca, Luciano Torres, Christian Fefin
  • Patent number: 9776810
Abstract: The disclosed method, and corresponding system, for controlling items on a production/distribution line relies on secure identification of items transported arranged according a given disposition along a transport path at different sites of the line and checking operation according to a protocol which allows reducing processing load while ensuring high reliability.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 23, 2012
Date of Patent: October 3, 2017
    Assignee: SICPA HOLDING SA

  • Patent number: 8986498
Abstract: The invention relates to a label ejection device (101,201,301,401,501,601,1201,1301), a labeling printing system comprising said device and a method for discarding labels, in particular self-adhesive labels (103,203,303,403,603). The invention is concerned in particular with preventing faulty labels from being applied to items (or containers containing such items), with minimal attendant interruption of machine operation. The effective labeling systems and equipment are not perfect and, on occasion, “incorrect” or faulty labels (103,203,303,403,603) may be applied to containers. There is a need for an improved label ejection device (101,201,301,401,501,601,1201,1301) and an improved labeling printing system that more efficiently and effectively removes labels (103,203,303,403,503,603) from a sheet like support (104,204,304,404,504,604,1204).
