  • Patent number: 11346718
Abstract: A freeform imaging system with a spectrometer and telescope components optically connected and optimized to increase the spectral and spatial resolution capabilities. Many embodiments of the system are capable of producing a spectral resolution of approximately 1 nm and a spatial resolution less than 30 m such that the imaging system can be used to accurately capture and measure point source plumes of various atmospheric gases including CH4, CO2, CO, N2O, and H2O.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 21, 2019
Date of Patent: May 31, 2022
    Assignee: California Institute of Technology
Inventors: Andrew K. Thorpe, Robert O. Green, Pantazis Mouroulis, David R. Thompson, Andrew D. Aubrey, Christian Frankenberg

  • Patent number: 9127634
Abstract: A method for determining the opening point in time of a control valve having a coil drive of an indirectly driven fuel injector for an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle may include: detecting the time curve of the current intensity of a current flowing through the coil drive, determining a current integral with respect to the detected current intensity as a function of the time and starting from a defined initial time, and determining a time at which the current integral reaches at least a predefined current integral reference value, wherein the determined time is the opening point in time of the control valve. A corresponding device and a computer program for determining the opening point in time of a control valve of an indirectly driven fuel injector are also disclosed.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 13, 2011
Date of Patent: September 8, 2015
    Assignee: CONTINENTAL AUTOMOTIVE GMBH
    Inventors: Martin Brandt, Christian Frankenberger
  • Patent number: 9043710
Abstract: In one embodiment, a view in a graphical user interface includes a selection area that includes identifiers associated with a plurality of attributes, each of the attributes having a plurality of possible values. The area further includes one or more graphical tools to define filter criteria based at least in part on selected ones of the plurality of possible values of one or more of the attributes. The area further includes one or more switch controls each being associated with a respective one of the one or more of the attributes and indicating presentation criteria including: whether selected ones of the possible values of the respective attribute are to be shown in a report, and a dimension of the report in which to space the selected ones of the possible values from one another if the selected ones of the possible values are to be shown in the report.
