  • Patent number: 10964120
Abstract: An embodiment of the invention is based on the idea of adjusting a physiological model of an anatomical region containing blood vessels on the basis of patient-specific 3D image data of the anatomical region. Since the physiological model includes at least one geometric parameter as well as functional parameters, in particular the at least one geometric parameter and/or the functional parameters can be adjusted. The 3D perfusion of the anatomical region is now simulated on the basis of the adjusted physiological model such that the patient-specific supply areas of the anatomical region are identified on the basis of the simulation.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 9, 2015
Date of Patent: March 30, 2021
    Assignee: SIEMENS AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT
    Inventors: Christian Godenschwager, Michael Suehling

  • Patent number: 8824755
Abstract: A method and a computer system are disclosed for automatically generating a statistical vascular model of a patient group. In at least one embodiment, the method includes collecting determining patient-related vascular coordinates models from a multiplicity of vascular landmark coordinates of vascular landmarks, centerline coordinates on vessel centerlines and vessel contour coordinates on vessel contour edge profiles; determining body landmark coordinates of body landmarks; registering the vessel-related coordinates to patient-related registered vascular coordinates models; merging patient-related vascular parameter models to form at least one statistical vascular parameter model; determining the statistical parameters thereof; and saving and/or outputting the at least one statistical vascular parameter model.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 8, 2012
Date of Patent: September 2, 2014
    Assignee: Siemens Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Thomas Beck, Dominik Bernhardt, Christian Godenschwager

Abstract: A method and a computer system are disclosed for automatically generating a statistical vascular model of a patient group. In at least one embodiment, the method includes collecting specifying patient-related vascular coordinates models from a multiplicity of vascular landmark coordinates of vascular landmarks, centerline coordinates on vessel centerlines and vessel contour coordinates on vessel contour edge profiles; specifying body landmark coordinates of body landmarks; registering the vessel-related coordinates to patient-related registered vascular coordinates models; merging patient-related vascular parameter models to form at least one statistical vascular parameter model; specifying the statistical parameters thereof; and saving and/or outputting the at least one statistical vascular parameter model.
