  • Publication number: 20080150389
Abstract: The aim of the invention is to minimize the local surface loss densities of the ferromagnetic material of an electric machine. An electric machine with a stator (2) that is made of layered sheet metal plates (1) is thus disclosed. The sheet metal plates (1) have slots (3) that are oriented in such a manner that a winding system (12) can be put into place, wherein each slot (3) has vertical symmetrical axes of varying lengths and a substantially round shape.

  • Patent number: 4936626
Abstract: For swivel-assistance to a roof-skin holding bow forming the lower end of a folding canopy, lateral limbs of the holding bow being affixed to associated canopy struts of a main hoop, there is provided a rod element, the length of which can be altered, which is articulated at both ends and is arranged in the side wall region of the folding canopy. Since on end of the rod element is connected to the facing lateral limb of the roof-skin holding bow and the second end of the rod element is connected in articulated fashion to the associated canopy strut, the rod element can be arranged in space-saving manner in the side board.

  • Patent number: 4511214
Abstract: The invention relates to an exterior mirror for vehicles, with a mirror-housing which, in normal operation, is retained in a fixed location on the vehicle and which, in the event of a collision, can fold away, forwards or backwards, until it assumes at least an approximately flat position against the vehicle. Folding occurs about a pair of pivot-axes. A mirror-shell, carrying a reflector, is retained in the interior of the mirror-housing. An aerodynamically efficient fairing is provided on the leading side of the mirror-housing. In order to be able to design the fairing with a shape which is particularly aerodynamically efficient, namely with a shape which is particularly long in the direction in which the vehicle travels and which resembles a wedge, while nevertheless being able, on the other hand, to permit the mirror to fold away effectively and with little overhang, at least one separate pivot-axis is provided for the fairing of the mirror-housing.

  • Patent number: 4502759
Abstract: The invention relates to a servo-controlled adjustable outside rear view mirror for vehicles, having a stationary mirror housing and a mirror shell which carries the reflector and is able to move therein. In the mirror housing there is provided an interchangeable drive unit for the vertical and horizontal adjustment of the reflector, said drive unit being affixed to the back of the mirror housing or of the mirror shell. The invention aims at providing a broad vibrationless bearing surface for the mirror shell. Furthermore, by means of a simple control switch the mirror shall be adjustable in the same manner about a geometrically defined horizontal and vertical axis. The invention also aims at providing a wedge-shaped convergent, aerodynamic mirror housing. For this purpose, the drive unit is coupled by means of a movable plate to the rear of the mirror shell which can turn on a vertical axis, but the swivel connection has torsional strength about the horizontal axis.

  • Patent number: 4468942
Abstract: A pneumatic central locking system for doors and/or lids in motor vehicles, with a pneumatic operating or locking element being provided for each lock mechanism of the doors and/or lids so as to enable the same to be locked and unlocked. An electrically drivable air pump is connectible with the locking elements by a line system and a selector valve is disposed at an outlet side of the air pump. The selector valve acts upon the line system and/or the locking elements in a desirable manner by means of an additional pneumatic operating or switching element connected fluidically in parallel at the locking elements. A response pressure of the switch element is higher than that of the locking elements. At least one lock mechanism contains a key operable first selector switch, with a second selector switch which may be operated by the switching element.

  • Patent number: 4280349
Abstract: A rotary cylinder lock with a lock cylinder rotatable in a casing, preferably a door handle housing of a motor vehicle, with the lock cylinder being pivotable into closed and open positions by at least one key associated therewith and insertable in the lock cylinder. The rotary cylinder lock is constructed such that a second key can be inserted into the lock cylinder with the second key having, at a location other than in cases of the main key, notches or projections or the like controlling additional locking members. The second key actuates, by pivoting, a switching unit which, if necessary, triggers a safety device so as to prevent unauthorized use of the motor vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4219227
Abstract: A latchable door lock for motor vehicles, whose catch element, in addition to be blocked by a locking pawl to be actuated manually, is to be blocked by a further latching element, whose blocking action can be lifted only by means of a fitting key; the further latching element thereby engages directly at the catch element without reaction on the locking pawl while the key-controlled commands are transmitted by way of lines to servo devices coordinated to the remaining doors and/or flaps and displacing the additional latching elements.

  • Patent number: 4158299
Abstract: A door lock for motor vehicles, in which a lock cylinder is connected with a lock tumbler by way of an insertable entrainment rod, whereby the lock cylinder is inserted together with a door handle into an aperture provided in the outer body panel of the door; an anti-theft device which is connected with the lock cylinder, engages from behind a locking projection provided at the door.
