  • Patent number: 6533214
Abstract: A device to support and drive a winding bar or tube-shaped spindle designed to roll or unroll bolts of material of the type containing a guiding bearing and a guided bearing, each made up of a fixed casing in which a shaft can move axially, having an end designed to be able to butt against, at one of its ends which adapted for this purpose, the winding bar or the spindle, the shaft of the guiding bearing being driven to rotation by means of a sleeve rotating in the casing by a motor and the interior of the sleeve can move the shaft axially, all while being linked in rotation while the shaft of the guided bearing is mounted in free rotation. Each fixed casing is in the shape of a cylindrical casing of a jack in the watertight chamber which can move, under action of fluid, a piston attached coaxially to the guiding shaft or to the guided shaft such that the cylindrical casing is equipped at its lower end in a manner that allows extraction of the end of the shaft.

  • Patent number: 5848759
Abstract: A device that automates the opening and closing of a rocker bearing of the type containing at its end a shaft mobile in a rotating manner and a flywheel capable of moving to cover a seat in which is placed the end of a winding rod. The device contains a jack fixed on the top of a body of the bearing in a manner able to pivot around an axis perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the bearing. The rod contains at its end a ball and socket joint on which is mounted a roller which lodges itself in a peripheral groove in the rockable flywheel of the bearing.

  • Patent number: 5769355
Abstract: A rocker bearing device designed to carry one coupling end of a winding rod. The device contains a rotatable drive spindle. A flywheel is pivotal on the front end of the drive spindle for covering the end of the winding rod. The winding rod rests in a seat furnished in a wear piece. A covering piece is mobile in a pivoting manner around a transversal shaft and is brought back towards the rear by a spring which, at the time of the rocking towards the front of the flywheel, is driven by the flywheel so that one of the parts comes into contact with the end of the winding rod which rests in the hollow cavity of the wear piece by passing above a centering disk that coaxially contains the end of the winding rod.
