  • Patent number: 11821763
Abstract: Systems and methods for determining position are provided. An object produces a magnetic field having a first vector component, a second vector component, and a third vector component that are orthogonal to one another. A sensor measures a magnitude of each of the first, second, and third vector components when the object is within a range of positions. A controller is connected to the sensor and determines a relative position of the object within an undetermined cycle of a plurality of cycles based on the magnitude of the first vector component and the magnitude of the second vector component. The controller determines a cycle of the plurality of cycles in which the object is located based on the magnitude of the third vector component. The controller determines an absolute position of the object based on the relative position of the object and the cycle in which the object is located.

  • Patent number: 10279113
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a needleless syringe and method for delivering therapeutic particles. A source of therapeutic particles is located between a gas source and a cannon having a side opening. Gas released from the gas source causes a propagation of the therapeutic particles through the cannon. The side opening causes a reduction of a pressure of the gas in the cannon.

  • Patent number: 9255665
Abstract: A mechanism for puncturing gas cartridges comprises a lever comprising a short lever arm and a long lever arm, both arms extending from a pivot. The mechanism also comprises a ramp for pushing laterally a tip of the long lever arm under application of an input force on the ramp. The lever is configured to rotate about the pivot under lateral movement of the tip of the long lever arm, causing a tip of the short lever arm to apply a puncturing force between the gas cartridge and a puncturing member. A main body may receive the gas cartridge, the puncturing member and the lever. An actuator may be slidably mounted on the main body for applying the input force on the ramp by sliding towards the main body. The mechanism may be incorporated in a gas injection device or in a needleless syringe.

  • Publication number: 20140228458
Abstract: The present document describes a method and apparatus to rapidly reticulate closed-cell or partially closed-cell foams. The method involves the propagation of an energy impulse inside the foam; the energy impulse can be a shock wave. The energy impulse is generated in the same gaseous environment in which the foam is immersed, preferentially air in room condition. The energy impulse destroys the membranes closing the foam cells without disintegrating the frame's structure. In particular, the method rapidly improves the acoustic and filtering behavior of the foams.

  • Patent number: 4428971
Abstract: A successful frozen savory or sweet souffle which rises during baking and only collapses moderately when it is served is prepared from a base mass comprising a baked panada based on fat, flour, water and cream, a flavouring base composed of vegetables, cheese, fish or fruit, egg yolks and texturizing proteins by mixing the different ingredients without whipping of the proteins and incorporating carbon dioxide gas in the mass.
