  • Publication number: 20250145760
Abstract: A composition is described comprising an epoxy resin and a dicyandiamide salt comprising an anion selected from sulfonate or phosphonate. In typical embodiments, the dicyandiamide cation has the formula: wherein one or more of R1, R2, R3, and R4 are hydrogen. Also described is a method of bonding, an adhesive bonded article, and a method of synthesizing a dicyandiamide salt.

  • Publication number: 20230279216
Abstract: Thermally curable compositions with excellent storage stability are provided that curing system comprising a compound of Formula (I). In Formula (I), L+n is a ulmetal or alkaline earth metal and n is equal to 1 or 2. Groups A and B are each independently an alkyl having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl having 3 to 12 carbon atoms, an aryl having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, an aralkyl or alkaryl group having from 7 to 12 carbon atoms, or a group of formula —[(Z)—N(R1)(R2)] where Z is an alkylene having from 1 to 12 carbon atoms and R1 and R2 are each independently an alkyl groups having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms. Cured compositions formed from the thermally curable compositions, articles containing the thermally curable composition, articles containing the cured composition, and methods of bonding with the thermally curable compositions are provided. The thermally curable compositions can be used, for example, in various construction and transportation applications.

  • Patent number: 11686639
Abstract: A protective device for a membrane of a sensor that detects a physical parameter acting upon the membrane includes a hollow main body that elongates in a direction along a longitudinal axis. The main body is open at one opposite end of the main body along the longitudinal axis, and at the end of the main body opposite the open end the protective device includes a bottom in which is defined a passage through which the medium is able reach the membrane when the protective device is attached to the sensor. The passage is defined in part by a wall that is configured so that the electromagnetic radiation propagating in the passage cannot reach the membrane without being reflected at least once on the wall.
