Abstract: A lifting apparatus suspendably mounted on a holding apparatus, wherein during operation a pivot angle of the holding apparatus which deviates from a vertical straight line can be limited by a safety apparatus, wherein the pivot angle can be monitored and limited in two opposite directions, wherein swinging of the lifting apparatus back towards the vertical straight line is not impeded.
