  • Publication number: 20120308871
Abstract: The invention relates to a ceramic composite material (1), comprising a planar carrier substrate (2) and a porous coating (4) that is applied onto the carrier substrate (2) and contains ceramic particles (3). The problem underlying the invention is that of further developing a ceramic composite material of type such that lower thicknesses can be achieved while maintaining the high thermal and mechanical stability. Said problem is solved by a ceramic composite material having a polymeric film (2) as the carrier substrate (2), wherein the carrier substrate (2) is provided with a perforation that consists of a plurality of holes (6) arranged at regular intervals, and wherein the perforation is covered by the porous coating (4) at least on one side of the carrier substrate (2). A cross-section of the ceramic composite material according to the invention is shown in FIG. 1.

  • Patent number: 8142920
Abstract: The present invention relates to a flexible ceramic membranes which, depending on embodiment, are useful as separators for batteries, especially lithium batteries and also as a process for their production. Ceramic or hybridic membranes have the advantage that, whatever the level of flexibility already achieved, they tend to crumble of the ceramic coating on bending. this is prevented by the present membranes, which comprise, on and in a polymeric nonwoven, a solidified ceramic coating which is constructed from two fraction which metal oxide particles of different size and which adheres to the polymeric nonwoven through a network constructed by two different adhesion promoters.

  • Patent number: 8053102
Abstract: The present invention relates to electrical separators and to a process for making them. An electrical separator is a separator used in batteries and other arrangements in which electrodes have to be separated from each other while maintaining ion conductivity for example. The separator is preferably a thin porous insulating material possessing high ion permeability, good mechanical strength and long-term stability to the chemicals and solvents used in the system, for example in the electrolyte of the battery. In batteries, the separator should fully electrically insulate the cathode from the anode. Moreover, the separator has to be permanently elastic and to follow movements in the system, for example in the electrode pack in the course of charging and discharging.

Abstract: The present invention relates to flexible ceramic membranes which, depending on embodiment, are useful as separators for batteries, especially lithium batteries, and also a process for their production. • Patent number: 7970762
Abstract: A user profile and/or the suggestions computed based thereon are obtained taking a special set of user features into account. The user features are defined to represent a typical general behaviour of an individual user in respect to the application where the user profile is used. In other words, for each application where a user profile is used a special set of user features are defined which are able to represent a typical general behaviour of an individual user. Based on these user features the weights in the list of word-weight pairs or weighted keywords which represents the user profile are computed or influenced during the creation of the user profile, and/or a mufti-user profile is split during the creation of an individual user profile from a mufti-user profile, and/or during specification of a suggestion a user history which is used to create the user profile, and/or the user profile, and/or the suggestion results are filtered.
