Abstract: An inter-frame and webpage generation and communication system and method provide a mechanism by which a parent webpage or frame can allocate a child frame of the displayed page for content generated by a web application other than that generating the parent webpage or frame and certain information can be exchanged between the child frame and the parent webpage or frame. Multiple frames of a webpage not only react to interactive events occurring within that frame, but also react to events occurring in child frames. In at least one embodiment, a mechanism for inter-frame communication is provided to enable communication between child and parent frames, and the inter-frame communication mechanism is agnostic as to whether the code displayed in the child and parent frames is provided by one or more web application servers.

Abstract: This disclosure provides techniques usable for sharing of items of content between various computing systems and/or browsing sessions. According to some embodiments, a user may be enabled to save an item of content from one system for later use, and then have the item of content automatically become available for later use in whatever the most convenient form might be. For example, the item of content might become available via a different application on the same system, or on a different system altogether.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to search engine optimizations (SEO) for web pages. In various embodiments, a computer system accesses a product database to retrieve product detail information for products that satisfy specified product eligibility requirements. The computer system randomly selects a subset of the products that satisfy the specified product eligibility requirements and accesses a user-generated content (UGC) database to retrieve UGC corresponding to the subset of products such that the retrieved UGC satisfies specified UGC eligibility requirements. The computer system randomly selects a subset of the retrieved UGC and inserts content into a web page to produce a modified web page. In such an embodiment, the inserted content includes product detail information for the subset of products, and the inserted content further includes the subset of the retrieved UGC.
