  • Publication number: 20180136264
Abstract: Systems and methods for measuring alternating current (AC) voltage of an insulated conductor (e.g., insulated wire) are provided, without requiring a galvanic connection between the conductor and a test electrode or probe. A non-galvanic contact (or “non-contact”) voltage measurement system includes a conductive sensor, an internal ground guard and a reference shield. A common mode reference voltage source is electrically coupled between the internal ground guard and the reference shield to generate an AC reference voltage which causes a reference current to pass through the conductive sensor. At least one processor receives a signal indicative of current flowing through the conductive sensor due to the AC reference voltage and the AC voltage in the insulated conductor, and determines the AC voltage in the insulated conductor based at least in part on the received signal.

  • Publication number: 20180136257
Abstract: Systems and methods provide measurement of alternating current (AC) electrical parameters in an insulated wire without requiring a galvanic connection between the insulated wire and a test probe. Measurement systems or instruments may include a housing that includes both a non-contact voltage sensor and a non-contact current sensor. The measurement system obtains measurements from the voltage sensor and the current sensor during a measurement time interval and processes the measurements to determine AC electrical parameters of the insulated wire. The AC electrical parameters may be presented to an operator via a visual indicator device (e.g., display, lights). The AC electrical parameters may additionally or alternatively be communicated to an external device via a wired and/or wireless communications interface.

  • Patent number: 9920430
Abstract: A method for improving the adhesive capacity of a protectively coated steel sheet is proposed, in which, in a continuous process, a protective coating based on Zn—Al—Mg is applied to the steel sheet and, in a further step, the protective coating undergoes a surface treatment in which an aqueous composition is applied in order to modify the natural oxide layer, which contains Al2O3 and MgO, without pickling this natural oxide layer as a result. In order to significantly increase adhesive capacity of the protectively coated steel sheet, the invention proposes skin-pass rolling the protectively coated steel sheet and then reacting the natural oxide layer with an aqueous fluoride-containing composition, reducing its MgO content in order to thus modify the natural oxide layer.

  • Patent number: 9375755
Abstract: Flip-flow screens having crossbars which extend transversely to the screening direction, carry a screen liner and are mounted alternately fixedly and movably with respect to a screen frame, where the screen liner is mounted on liner carriers which are curved upward in their lateral edge regions. In order to improve lateral sealing, provision is made for all the liner carriers to be fastened, preferably screwed, by their end regions to the screen frame. The lateral edge regions are preferably curved by 80-90°, and the liner carriers of the movable crossmembers may have in their curved portion a cross section which is tapered in relation to the rectilinear portion and/or which may consist of a softer material.

  • Patent number: 8863084
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for determining whether dependencies of configuration files have changed such that the compilation strategy should be recomputed. Local build checksums are computed for individual configuration files. The local build checksums are computed by sorting input paths to the configuration files plus data indicating whether the path refers to a file or a directory and a checksum computed on the configuration file itself. The transitive closure of local build checksums are then used to compute a global build checksum: the local build checksums are sorted in order to compute the global build checksum. If the global build checksum is different from a previously computed global build checksum, then the compilation strategy should be recomputed, since this is a signal that the compilation strategy may not be valid anymore, e.g. because some dependencies in the configuration files have changed.

  • Patent number: 8210197
Abstract: A cleaning system for cleaning a valve seat, where the valve seat is formed of at least one gasket for sealing between a housing and a stem, preferably for a double seat valve and where at least one guide band is centering the stem in the housing, where the stem has a cut out, allowing a cleaning liquid to flush the seat, when the stem is in a cleaning position, and where the guide band is still centering the stem while in the cleaning position. By putting the stem into a cleaning position, the cut out in the stem is positioned in the area of the gasket and thereby allowing the cleaning liquid to pass the gasket and the guide band via a small gap between the guide band and the stem itself. This way the seat is flushed with cleaning liquid and is thereby cleaned.

  • Patent number: 6729843
Abstract: Reaction hydraulic turbine that includes a draft tube having side wails arranged to define an inlet and an outlet and an elbow arranged to position the outlet substantially perpendicular to the inlet. A turbine runner is positioned adjacent the inlet and the outlet is arranged to define a flow exit, and a splitter vane is mounted within the draft tube to partially extend across a width of the draft tube. In this manner, flow is redirected about the elbow of the draft tube. The splitter vane includes opposing side edge surfaces that are spaced from the side walls, such that swirl flow is permitted around the splitter vane within the draft tube.
