  • Publication number: 20230267602
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and system for optical product authentication, in which a product is labeled with optically active particles, a reference image is recorded in a registration step and a recognition image of the optically active particles is recorded in a recognition step. The product is then authenticated by comparing image data or a coding derived from image data in the registration step versus the recognition step.

  • Publication number: 20180141318
Abstract: The invention relates to a film having a wood-like appearance and having a width from 0.1 to 6 m, a length of 2 to 10,000 m, a thickness from 180 to 1,000 ?m and formed from, a material which contains, relative the total weight thereof 40 to 85 wt % of vinylchloride polymerizate, 10 to 60 wt % of a powder made from vegetable components, 0 to 30 wt % of one or more inorganic filler substances, and 5 to 30 wt % of one or more additives.

  • Publication number: 20140234608
Abstract: A method is provided for producing colored molded bodies based on the following steps: (a) plasticising a polymeric material and blending the material with one or more dyes to form a molding compound by means of a gelation unit equipped with a metering apparatus for dyes; (b) optionally temporarily storing the molding compound obtained in step (a); (c) charging a molding device with the molding compound; and (d) producing the molded body; wherein the ratio of dye to polymeric material is automatically regulated using a colorimeter and an electronic control, and in step (a) color values are measured at the molding compound located in the gelation unit and transmitted as a signal to the electronic control.

  • Patent number: 8578509
Abstract: A packaging film which contains pigment particles randomly distributed in a low surface-area density is used for the authentication of products. An imaging device is used to record a first digital image of a packaged product. The positional coordinates, and optionally the color values, of the pigment particles contained in the packaging film are determined from the digital image by means of a computer program and an identification code is calculated from the coordinate or color values and stored in a database. To authenticate the product at a later time, a second digital image is recorded and a test code is determined and compared with the recorded identification code.

  • Patent number: 5991047
Abstract: The shrinkage of a calendered amorphous film is continuously controlled during the taking off from a calender, the shrinkage being measured over the film width and the film length with the aid of the dichroism of the film. For this purpose, a shrinkage measuring instrument 51 supplies measured data concerning shrinkage of the film to a connected measured-data computer 52 which is connected, on the one hand, via an interface to a master computer 53, and, on the other hand, to a screen display 54. Characteristic calibration curve parameters of different film types and shrinkage deviations and/or of shrinkage limits are stored in the master computer and are, upon request, fed into the measured-data computer. The measured anisotropy of the film is converted into the respective shrinkage by means of a calibration curve, which is based on the calibration curve parameters.
