  • Publication number: 20150167453
Abstract: A method for defining a permissible borehole curvature includes determining curvature characteristics of at least one of a borehole and a downhole assembly in the borehole and calculating an envelope of permissible borehole curvatures from a predetermined location in the borehole based on the curvature characteristics, a direction of the borehole at the predetermined location in the borehole, and a turning angle of the borehole relative to the direction of the borehole at the predetermined location.

  • Publication number: 20140238850
Abstract: A tubular target is formed of refractory metal or a refractory metal alloy. The target has at least one tubular portion X with a relative density RDx and at least one tubular portion Y with a relative density RDy. At least one tubular portion X has, at least in some regions, a larger outer diameter than a tubular portion Y at least in some regions. A density ratio satisfies the relation (RDy?RDx)/RDy?0.001. There is also described a method for producing a tubular target from refractory metal or refractory metal alloy by sintering and local deformation of different degree. The tubular target has a more uniform sputter removal over the entire surface area compared with prior tubular targets. The tubular targets do not exhibit any tendency to arcing or to particle regeneration.

  • Publication number: 20140027276
Abstract: A tubular target for cathode atomization does not have a backing tube and it is made of molybdenum or a molybdenum alloy. The target has an inner surface which is in contact at least in certain regions with a cooling medium, wherein at least one region of the inner surface is separated from the cooling medium by at least one protective device. By way of example, the protective device may be in the form of a polymer layer. The tubular target exhibits outstanding long-term stability.

  • Publication number: 20110221416
Abstract: An energy harvesting system for transferring energy from an energy harvester (2) having an output impedance (Zi) to a DC-DC converter (10) includes a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) circuit (12) including a replica impedance (ZR) which is a multiple (N) of the output impedance. The MPPT circuit applies a voltage across the replica impedance that is equal to an output voltage (Vin) of the harvester to generate a feedback current (IZR) which is equal to an input current (Iin) received from the harvester, divided by the multiple (N), to provide maximum power point tracking between the harvester and the converter.

  • Patent number: 7777590
Abstract: An improved HF socket or HF plug socket for connecting to a coaxial wiring system comprises an integrated monitoring means comprising a monitoring circuit arranged in a feed path extending in the HF socket between an interface for connecting a receiver and a junction to the wiring system or to the single-cable system. The monitoring circuit comprises a cut-off or interruption means by which the feed path is interrupted when a direct-voltage signal originating from a connected receiver is applied with a voltage above a threshold voltage for feeding into the wiring system or into the single-cable system over a predetermined or preadjustable period of time (?).

  • Patent number: 6680097
Abstract: A self-adhesive film label, in particular for reusable bottles, is proposed which can be readily detached in conventional washing equipment. This is achieved by means of a self-adhesive label with a stretched film layer, which shrinks back at elevated temperature in the washing device. Since the adhesive of the label loses its adhesive force at this temperature, the label is rapidly and readily detached, supported by the surrounding washing liquid of the washing device.
