  • Publication number: 20240258850
Abstract: The invention relates to a synchronous machine which is excited by permanent magnets and has a stator (2) and a rotor (1) which rotates adjacent to the stator (2) about a longitudinal axis (3). The rotor (1) comprises a number of surface magnets which are disposed along the circumference of the rotor (1). The surface magnets are designed as Halbach arrays (4), each of which comprises tangential segments (PM1, PM4, PM5, PM8), in which the magnetisation direction (M) is oriented predominantly in the circumferential direction, and normal segments (PM2, PM3, PM6, PM7), in which the magnetisation direction (M) is oriented predominantly in the radial direction or counter to the radial direction, and in the field of the stator (2) the tangential segments (PM1, PM14, PM5, PM8) are subjected to a radially inwardly directed force (?Fn) and the normal segments (PM2, PM3, PM6, PM7) are subjected to a radially outwardly directed force (+Fn).

  • Patent number: 11482964
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a redundant electric machine for driving a propulsion means with increased operational safety. The machine may include two systems, with each system including a stator winding system and a rotor assigned thereto with permanent magnets, wherein the rotors are fastened on a common shaft for driving the propulsion means. If a fault occurs in one of the stator winding systems, the rotor, which continues to rotate, has to be prevented from inducing electric voltages in the stator winding system because this may lead to a fire in the machine. A demagnetization apparatus is therefore provided which, in a targeted manner, demagnetizes the permanent magnets of the rotor assigned to the faulty stator winding system such that the inducing of electric voltages is prevented.

  • Patent number: 10774925
Abstract: An electric motor equipped with a transmission unit in the form of a planetary gear transmission is provided. The planetary gear transmission has a sun gear, planetary gears, and a ring gear, which are coupled to one another via corresponding toothings. The sun gear is coupled directly to a shaft of the electric motor and is fastened thereto. The planetary gears or axles thereof are retained on a bearing plate of the electric motor. The ring gear is rotatably mounted on the housing of the electric motor or is fastened to the housing of the electric motor. A common feature is that parts of the transmission are retained on the housing of the electric motor and not on a separate housing or another component of the transmission unit.

  • Publication number: 20200195096
Abstract: The invention relates to an in particular redundant electrical machine for driving a propulsion means with improved protection against failure. The machine includes for example two submachines consisting in each case of a stator winding system and a rotor, wherein the two rotors are arranged on a common shaft in a rotationally fixed manner, by way of which shaft the propulsion means is ultimately set in motion. Also provided is a movement device which has the effect, in the case of a fault in one of the stator winding systems, that the air gap between the stator winding system in question and the associated rotor is increased for the corresponding faulty submachine such that the electromagnetic interaction between these components is suppressed.
