  • Publication number: 20160190611
Abstract: A fuel cell system including: a fuel cell stack; a cathode gas supply source including a cathode supply path for feeding cathode operating gas into the fuel cell stack and a cathode exhaust gas path for discharging cathode exhaust gas out of the fuel cell stack, and a fuel cell cooling system for cooling the fuel cell stack including a coolant path into which the fuel cell stack is integrated so as to transfer heat is provided. It is provided that the cathode gas supply source also includes a turbine arranged in the cathode exhaust gas path, and the coolant path of the fuel cell cooling system in the flow path of the cathode exhaust gas downstream from the turbine is in heat-transferring contact with the cathode exhaust gas path. This achieves a cooling of the coolant by the cathode exhaust gas and a heating of the cathode exhaust gas by the coolant.

  • Patent number: 6848704
Abstract: Adjustable base for a ski binding, comprising a rail (2) for mounting on a ski, a row of teeth (5) extending parallel to the axis of the rail, a plate (3), for carrying a ski-binding element, mounted slidably on the rail and carrying a toothed latch (11), that can be displaced transversely to the rail, for engaging in the teeth of the row of teeth in order to immobilize the plate on the rail through the action of a knuckle-joint mechanism. The teeth (5) of the row of teeth extend transversely to the rail, occupying approximately half the width of the rail, and the latch (11) includes a number of teeth that is greater than two and advantageously of a length substantially equal to the width of the row of teeth (5), and it is displaceable from one side of the rail to the other.

  • Patent number: 6786501
Abstract: Device for adjusting the relative position between a first part, for example a ski binding heel-piece, equipped with a toothed strip (8) and a second part, for example a slide (2), equipped with two opposed sets of teeth (16, 17) collaborating with the sets of teeth (10, 11) of the strip. The sets of teeth of one of the parts are offset by a half-tooth and the teeth of the sets of teeth are truncated. The sets of teeth of the two parts come into mesh alternately on one side and the other, making it possible to have a pitch for adjustment equal to a half-tooth rather than a full tooth. The fineness of the adjustment is thus improved.

  • Patent number: 6623026
Abstract: A support device on a ski for the front part of the sole of a ski boot is held by a releasable binding holding the front of the boot, including a support in which a support plate is slideably mounted transversely to the ski. A limiting arrangement limits the displacement of the support plate in the support and includes stops on both the support plate and the support. A transverse helical spring is engaged partially in the support plate and partially in the support and works in compression between the support and the support plate upon displacement of the support plate. A support device using a helical return spring is thereby produced in which the support plate travels substantially farther than in the prior art, while being perfectly guided and held in the support.

  • Patent number: 6451470
Abstract: Gas diffusion electrodes (1) for polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells are modified such that the diffusion of water therein is inhibited in comparison with un-modified electrodes. Polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells with the modified gas diffusion electrodes can be operated, with on the average unchanged operating conditions, without addition of water, since the gas diffusion electrodes do not allow more water to escape than that formed during the reaction of burnable gas and oxidizing agent, and guarantee sufficient membrane moisture.

  • Patent number: 6290251
Abstract: A rear binding (6) releasably clamps a heel (5) of a boot (1) to a ski (2). A front binding (4) which engages a toe (3) of the boot releases under lateral force towards the left or right side of the ski. A support assembly (8) engages a sole (7) of the ski boot to reduce frictional forces between the ski boot and ski which might impair the release of the front binding. The support device includes a stationary support (9) which is mounted to the ski and which defines a lateral groove (13) having a generally inverted T-shaped cross section. A movable element (10) which is slidably received in the groove has an upper surface that supports the boot sole. A friction reducing element (20), such as a layer of low coefficient of friction plastic is disposed between the movable element and the stationary support such that the movable element and the toe of the boot can move laterally with minimum frictional resistance.
