  • Publication number: 20250038222
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a bipolar plate for an electrochemical system, having a first separator plate and a second separator plate that are arranged one on top of the other, wherein the first separator plate has, on a side facing away from the second separator plate, a first electrochemically active surface for conducting a first fluid; the second separator plate has, on a side facing away from the first separator plate, a second electrochemically active surface for conducting a second fluid; wherein the first electrochemically active surface and the second electrochemically active surface overlap each other and form an active region of the bipolar plate in an overlapping region, wherein the separator plates are joined together in the active region by a weld pattern with inhomogeneously distributed welds.

  • Publication number: 20250038225
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a separator plate for an electrochemical system, comprising a first plate and a second plate connected at a contact zone. The first plate comprises two first channels for conducting media, which run next to one another and are separated at least in sections by a web formed between the first channels. The second plate comprises a second channel for conducting media. The web formed between the first channels is lower in the crossing region of the second channel such that the first channels running on either side of the web are fluidically connected by a lower portion of the web. In or near the lower portion, the first plate is connected to the base of the second channel by a welded joint. The welded joint forms an end crater spaced away from a first end and a second end of the welded joint.

  • Publication number: 20240055619
Abstract: A separator plate for an electrochemical system comprising a first individual plate which comprises two first channels for conducting media which run next to one another and which are separated from one another at least in sections by a web formed between the first channels. The web comprising a lowered portion and a rear side of the base of the lowered portion is connected to a rear side of the base of the second channel in the contact zone of the individual plates via a welded connection. The welded connection comprises a first end region and a first curved portion, wherein the first curved portion runs, and is curved, in such a way that a virtual straight line running perpendicularly through the first end region intersects the welded connection at least two times.
