  • Patent number: 11940244
Abstract: An automatic zoom-sensing riflescope display adapter (RDA) system can illuminate an iris of a user with a beam from a light emitter. The RDA system can activate a display which includes at least one graphical element visible by the user through an eyepiece. Additionally, the RDA system can focus an image of the iris on a sensor. The RDA system can determine a diameter of the iris from the image of the iris using an iris analyzer. The RDA system can develop a calibration table that correlates the diameter of the iris to a zoom level of an optical scope. The RDA system can estimate the zoom level of the optical scope from the diameter of the iris via the calibration table. Additionally, the RDA system can adjust, to match the zoom level, a font size of the at least one graphical element of the display.

  • Publication number: 20230384058
Abstract: A fire-control display adapter for a weapon scope. The fire-control display adapter consists of a display unit positioned at the scope's objective bell and aligned in front of the scope's objective lens. A range finder calculates the distance from a target's aimpoint. A ballistic computer is communicably coupled to both the display unit and the distance sensor. The ballistic computer computes a ballistic solution and causes the display unit to display it. To power to the distance sensor and the display unit, a power source is communicably coupled to the ballistic computer. A mount detachably secures the fire-control display adapter to the weapon's rail.

  • Publication number: 20230358508
Abstract: A display assembly for a scope configured to attach a weapon. The display assembly comprises an attachments position for releasably mounting to the scope. The attachment position includes a mounting mechanism configured to releasably engage a tube of the scope. A coupling mechanism is configured to couple the mounting mechanism to the tube of the scope when fielded. A housing is coupled to the attachment portion. The housing is adjacent to an eyepiece of the scope when fielded, and extends both away from the tube, and towards an ocular lens of the scope with respect to an optical path of the scope. The housing includes an electronic display coupled to a mount, a circuit card communicably coupled to the electronic display, a power source, and an interface coupling the electronic display and the circuit card.

  • Publication number: 20230044032
Abstract: A multi-laser bore-sighting riflescope system can receive a first laser beam having a first wavelength and a second laser beam having a second wavelength smaller than the first wavelength. The system can detect reflected light from the first laser beam. The system can calculate an initial range to a target. The system can determine a ballistics solution. The system can find a ballistics aimpoint. Further, the system can illuminate a display of a riflescope display assembly (RDA). The system can mark the ballistics aimpoint with an electronic reticle on the display. The system can redirect the first laser beam to the ballistics aimpoint. The system can redirect the second laser to the ballistics aimpoint. The system can detect secondary reflected laser light from the first laser beam. The system can calculate a secondary range to the target.

  • Publication number: 20230041606
Abstract: An automatically aligning riflescope display adapter (RDA) system can illuminate toward an eyepiece with a beam from a light emitter. The RDA system can activate a display which includes an electronic reticle visible through the eyepiece. Additionally, the RDA system can track, with a tracking sensor, a location of a scope reticle based on back reflection of the beam from direction of the eyepiece. The RDA system can detect an amount of optical misalignment between the scope reticle and rhe electronic reticle. The RDA systen can align the scope reticle with the electronic reticle.
