  • Patent number: 10601219
Abstract: A method for controlling a drive having at least one converter, at least one motor and an assigned drive control, wherein a failsafe CPU is operated separately from the drive control and only processes safety-relevant information, where a number of safety functions are implemented by the failsafe CPU such that the safety-relevant functions of the drive are implemented in a simple and reliable manner.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 7, 2017
Date of Patent: March 24, 2020
    Assignee: Siemens Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Werner Czerny, Reinhold Goetz, Andreas Heilmann, Jan Kabus, Stefan Ingo Meier, Martin Meinardus, Christian Merkel, Juergen Mielke, Luliu Vlaic

  • Patent number: 9527690
Abstract: A drive roller, driven by a motor, moves a material web on a set of rollers. The present rotational speed of the motor is detected. A current web speed is determined from the detected rotational speed and a diameter of the drive roller. The current web speed is compared with a specified target speed value and a specified threshold speed value of the web speed.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 27, 2013
Date of Patent: December 27, 2016
    Assignee: SIEMENS AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT

  • Publication number: 20140107830
Abstract: A method detects parameters of a traversing or circulating material web in a material processing machine. At least one oscillation parameter of at least one transverse oscillation which occurs on the material web is detected contactlessly by at least one sensor. At least one parameter of the material web which results from said oscillation parameter is determined. Furthermore, a device detects parameters of a traversing or circulating material web in a material processing machine.

  • Patent number: 6841277
Abstract: A method for operating a fuel cell plant and a fuel cell plant are provided. The thermal efficiency of a fuel cell plant results from the useful heat which is generated per quantity of fuel. Heat which is radiated from the fuel cell plant into the environment is lost and cannot be utilized. The method minimizes the radiation of heat from the fuel cell plant. Air for operation of the fuel cells is passed into a housing which surrounds heat-radiating components of the fuel cell plant. The air flows around the components, absorbs the heat which is radiated and delivers it to the fuel cell block, where the heat is emitted to cooling water that cools the fuel cell block and transfers the heat to water of a heating-water circuit.

Date of Patent: January 11, 2005
