  • Patent number: 10602962
Abstract: Vital sign information of a subject is determined using a marker for application to the subject. The marker is configured to change an optical property due to a mechanical manipulation of the marker caused by a physiological process of the subject. The change in the optical property is detected and analyzed to determine vital sign information of the subject.

    Assignee: KONINKLIJKE PHILIPS N.V.
Inventors: Alexander Dubielczyk, Christian Michael Epping, Rolf Neumann
  • Patent number: 9913991
Abstract: A defibrillator with wireless communications with a patient monitor. The wireless communications transmits patient data collected by measurement modules between the defibrillator and the patient monitor using wireless nodes when a patient is under cardiac arrest. The transmitted data is integrated with the data already residing on each respective device using data integration modules, and then displayed to the code team in the patient's room on displays, thereby allowing every member of the code team to see data from both devices by reading just one of the displays. The integrated data is also associated with synchronized clocks between the two devices. The integrated data is then compiled into a single unified report comprising the data from both devices and attached to the patient's electronic health record located on a patient record database.

  • Publication number: 20150306409
Abstract: A defibrillator (12) in wireless communication (20) with a patient monitor (10). Patient data collected by measurement modules (34, 66) is to be transmitted between the defibrillator and the patient monitor using wireless nodes (42, 60) when a patient is under cardiac arrest. The transmitted data is integrated with the data already residing on each respective device using data integration modules (36, 46), and then displayed to the code team in the patient's room on displays (38, 62), thereby allowing every member of the code team to see data from both devices by reading just one of the displays. The integrated data is also associated with synchronized clocks between the two devices. The integrated data is then compiled into a single unified report comprising the data from both devices and attached to the patient's electronic health record located on a patient record database (24).

  • Publication number: 20150126872
Abstract: A system and method for determining vital sign information of a subject are presented. The system comprises a marker for application to the subject, wherein the marker is configured to change an optical property due to a mechanical manipulation of the marker caused by a physiological process of the subject, a detection unit for detecting radiation from the marker, and an analysis unit for determining the vital sign information of the subject from the detected radiation.
