  • Patent number: 10267154
Abstract: The turbine (1) has a rotor (2) with blades (4) arranged on a periphery of disks (5) in radial planes (3), and a tie rod (6) extending along slots (7) in the disks. An annular spacer (15, 15?) fixes a position of the tie rod relative to a center line (M) of the disks, and is arranged in a channel (10, 11). The spacer has through-openings, which are arranged radially relative to the tie rod or to its center line, and extend coaxially. The channel carries a cooling medium and is limited by a separating pipe (13, 14) radially outwards. The through-openings serve for flow of the medium.

  • Patent number: 10114674
Abstract: Techniques are described for assigning collections of records to parallel processing tasks for sorting index keys of the records. In one example, a method includes determining an order of the collections of records in a descending order by byte length of an index key of each of the collections of records. The method further includes modifying the order of the collections of records in a descending order, for collections of records with index keys of equal byte length, by number of records per collection of each of the collections of records with index keys of same byte length. The method further includes assigning the collections of records to a plurality of parallel processing tasks in the order of the collections of records. The method may combine low elapsed processing times by balancing the amount of work in each assigned processing task with reduced computing resource overhead for each processing task.

  • Patent number: 10096899
Abstract: An electronic scanning antenna composed of an array of radiating elements positioned in an initial geometric configuration at a reference temperature, geometric configuration models of the array as a function of the temperature having been set up beforehand, the orientation of the beam being carried out by: a first phase of measuring the temperature of the array in order to select a model corresponding to the measured temperature; a second phase of calculating the phases to be applied to the signals of the radiating elements, the phases to be applied depending on the selected model.

  • Patent number: 9551247
Abstract: A transmission oil sump comprises a main oil compartment, in which a suction line of an oil pump is located, and a secondary oil compartment. The secondary oil compartment is in fluid communication with the main oil compartment via an opening. To prevent the introduction of air during rapid acceleration, cornering at high speeds and/or rapid deceleration of the vehicle, a barrier closes the opening to prevent the flow of oil out of the main oil compartment into the secondary oil compartment so that the oil level, required for the oil pump in the main compartment, remains adequately high. When not closed, the opening of the secondary oil compartment is open to ensure oil flow from the secondary oil compartment to the main oil compartment. The secondary oil compartments is arranged so as to collect oil that leaks from transmission components.

  • Patent number: 9273757
Abstract: A countershaft-type dual clutch transmission for a vehicle has two clutches having input sides connected to a driveshaft (AN) and output sides connected respectively to one of two transmission input shafts arranged coaxial to a mainshaft axis. A sub-transmission is associated in each instance with the transmission input shafts, at least two countershafts, a plurality of gear planes to which are assigned gear ratio steps, and at least one output shaft which can be connected to the sub-transmissions via an output gear plane. Only six gear planes with at least nine assigned gear ratio steps can be realized via only four double shift elements and at least one single shift element. Each countershaft can be coupled with four gear ratio steps via double shift elements, and one of the transmission input shafts can be coupled with a gear ratio step via a single shift element.

  • Patent number: 8657587
Abstract: Detection of end of stroke for an electromagnetic pump may be performed using, for example, a calculated first flux derivative. Further, inductance of a coil that can be energized to produce a pump stroke may be calculated (e.g., the pump may include an actuator moveable in response to the energization of the coil). For example, the inductance may be calculated as a function of sense coil current and source electrical potential when the actuator is not moving for use in determining position of the actuator.

  • Patent number: 7810454
Abstract: The inventive animal breeding plant comprises an animal stall area (1a-1f), means (11) for sharply flushing a cleaning fluid in said area in order to wash it and a channel which is used for recovering a mixture formed by said cleaning fluid and wastes flushed thereby and is arranged in front of said flushing means with respect to said area. The flushing means comprise at least one bucket (11) which is movably mounted between filling and flushing positions and whose shape is selected such that, when the filling level thereof with the cleaning fluid attains a predetermined threshold, the gravity center of the thus filled bucket (11) is shifted to such a point that the bucket (11) is tilted from said filling position to the flushing position in such a way that the fluid is sharply flushed in the area (1a-1f).
