  • Publication number: 20240074607
Abstract: A steam cooking apparatus has a cooking chamber, and a heating chamber adjacent the cooking chamber used for heating air laden with steam. Further, a steam heater is provided in the cooking chamber. Air and steam are circulated between the cooking chamber and the heating chamber, by means of an air circulation arrangement. A food support is provided for mounting in the cooking chamber. The food support has a bottom surface which includes a channel arrangement for positioning over the steam heater. The channel arrangement results in desired flow conditions over the steam heater to enable efficient generation of steam.

  • Patent number: 11534023
Abstract: A cooking device is for cooking food on a support (e.g. in a basket) within a cooking chamber. A required cooking time is determined based only on the time-evolution of the cooking chamber temperature and a power of the heating device. A first, less accurate, estimate of the required cooking time is determined within a first period, e.g. 90 seconds, of the turning on of the heating device and a second, more accurate, estimate of the required cooking is determined later, but e.g. within five minutes of the turning on of the heating device.

  • Publication number: 20220361710
Abstract: A cooking device is for cooking food on a support (e.g. in a basket) within a cooking chamber. Cooking parameters are sensed over time so that a required cooking time can be determined. An intervention made by a user to the food is sensed during cooking, such as shaking the basket. The required cooking time is then re-determined. In this way, the cooking time remains accurate both for an intervention or no intervention. This may for example enable the user to be given more accurate information about when the cooking process will be complete.

  • Publication number: 20200113221
Abstract: A juicer combines a juice extracting arrangement for providing extracted juice and a centrifuge unit for separating a juice component of the extracted juice from a foam component of the extracted juice. An output gate of the centrifuge unit allows the passage of the juice component to an outlet. In this way, the outlet has reduced (or eliminated) foam content, which is appreciated by users.

  • Patent number: 10238137
Abstract: A juice extractor includes a hopper, food processing chamber, and a drivetrain releasably coupled to the food processing chamber. The releasable coupling includes a lever arrangement which pivots to operate a locking member, to thereby open or close a bayonet type coupling. The locking member includes a locking wheel having a ring of notches adapted to receive projections at a mating part of the food processing chamber. Rotation of the locking wheel moves the ring of notches into and out of alignment with the projections.

  • Patent number: 10219862
Abstract: A hand-held skin treatment device comprises a source of electromagnetic radiation, an energy supply electrically coupled to the source and a controller arranged to control the energy supplied to the source of electromagnetic radiation. The source, the energy supply and the controller are enclosed in a watertight housing allowing use of the hand-held skin treatment device in a wet environment. To provide sufficient cooling of the source, the device comprises an internal heat exchanger in heat conducting relation with the source, an external heat exchanger outside of the watertight housing, and a heat path from the internal heat exchanger to the external heat exchanger that passes hermetically through a wall of the watertight housing. With this device, users can conveniently integrate their skin treatment activities with the daily washing routine in a shower or bath. The device is especially useful in the context of hair removal.
