  • Publication number: 20150287417
Abstract: An apparatus for decoding an encoded audio signal, includes: a spectral domain audio decoder for generating a first decoded representation of a first set of first spectral portions being spectral prediction residual values; a frequency regenerator for generating a reconstructed second spectral portion using a first spectral portion of the first set of first spectral portions, wherein the reconstructed second spectral portion additionally includes spectral prediction residual values; and an inverse prediction filter for performing an inverse prediction over frequency using the spectral residual values for the first set of first spectral portions and the reconstructed second spectral portion using prediction filter information included in the encoded audio signal.

  • Publication number: 20150110292
Abstract: A device for producing a frequency-shifted audio signal based on an audio input signal is provided. The device has an interface and a frequency-shifting unit. The interface is configured for receiving the audio input signal. The frequency-shifting unit is configured for producing the frequency-shifted audio signal. The frequency-shifting unit is additionally configured to produce one of the second subband values based on one of the first subband values such that the second phase angle of this second subband value differs from the first phase angle of this first subband value by a phase angle difference, the phase angle difference being dependent on frequency information indicating by which frequency difference the audio input signal is to be shifted in order to obtain the frequency-shifted audio signal, and the phase angle difference being dependent on a frequency bandwidth of one of the first subbands.

  • Patent number: 5108602
Abstract: The invention relates to a straining apparatus for the separating of solid-liquid mixtures with a downwardly tapering straining basket, the basket inside wall of which has an inclination (.alpha.) increasing from top to bottom, the charging of material to be strained being carried out approximately tangentially at the upper end of the straining basket and the material to be strained flowing downwards helically with radii becoming narrower, the straining basket wall forming at least one helical, inwardly open channel, which is bounded at top and bottom by helical side walls, between which the channel base having straining openings is arranged, the radius of which base decreases from top to bottom and which is inclined with respect to the vertical axis by the angle (.alpha.) in such a way that, in feeding, the inclination is at first small and then increases constantly.

  • Patent number: 4861462
Abstract: A screen unit for a screening machine comprises a screen layer which is bonded to a screen frame spanning an opening thereof. The screen layer is uniformly heated before such bonding is effected so that cooling after bonding generates a tension in the screen layer to allow it to have a trampoline or drumhead vibratile action. The tension is maintained by a reinforcing frame embedded in the frame body.

  • Patent number: 4708795
Abstract: An apparatus for the separation of a liquid from a solid of a solid-liquid mixture has a tangential inlet screen section at the upper end of a vertical separating screen which decreases in diameter downwardly. The mixture is introduced tangentially onto the spiral screen section and then closed downwardly onto the separating screen. Solids are recovered at the bottom of the screen and the liquid passes through the screen and is collected outwardly thereof.
