  • Patent number: 8392042
Abstract: The control method for a hybrid drive system of a vehicle includes (1) acquiring the driver's acceleration desire for determining the power for the corresponding wheel (Pwheel), the charge level of the battery (SOC) between a minimum (SOCmin) and a maximum (SOCmax) thresholds for a predetermined traction mode, and the available braking power (Pfrein) for deciding between electric or dissipative braking; (2) managing the charge (SOC) for, based on a first (SOC1 bmin) and a second (SOC2 bmin) minimum thresholds of the charge (SOC) and the driver's requested wheel power (Pwheel), either imposing a battery recharge or setting input parameters for the traction mode selection; and (3) selecting the traction mode, based on the battery power actually available (Pbat), the driver's requested wheel power (Pwheel), and the maximum power available at the thermal engine output (Pmthmax), for selecting the traction mode most adapted to the actual situation of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20100280694
Abstract: The invention relates to a method that comprises the following steps: —a first step (1) of acquiring the acceleration desire of the driver for determining the power for the corresponding wheel (Pwheel), of acquiring the charge state level of the battery (SOC) between a minimum authorised threshold (SOCmin) and a maximum authorised threshold (SOCmax) for a predetermined traction mode, and of acquiring the available braking power (Pfrein) for deciding between an electric or dissipative braking; a second step (2) of managing the charge state (SOC) for, on the basis of a first minimum threshold (SOC1 bmin) of the battery charge state (SOC), of a second minimum threshold (SOC2 bmin) of the battery charge state (SOC) higher than the first one and of the wheel power (Pwheel) requested by the driver, either imposing a battery recharge or setting input parameters for the traction mode selection; and a third step (3) of selecting the traction mode, based on the battery power actually available (Pbat), on the traction p

  • Patent number: 7823670
Abstract: The invention concerns a hybrid drive train comprising a heat engine (2), at least one first electrical machine (31) and at least a second electrical machine (32) each including a stator and a rotor, a battery (BAT) connected to the first and second electrical machines (31, 32), and a controlling member (5) for controlling the charge or discharge of the battery (BAT), the heat engine (2) and the first and second electrical machines (31, 32). The invention is characterized in that the first electrical machine (31) is arranged between the transmission member (4) and one (7D) of the driven wheels (7G, 7D), and in that the second electrical machine (32) is arranged inside the heat engine (2), the rotor of the second electrical machine (32) being fixed on a crank web and its stator (34) being fixed in the housing (36) of the heat engine (2).

  • Patent number: 7694761
Abstract: The invention concerns a hybrid drive chain of a vehicle (1) comprising a heat engine (2) connected to a mechanical assembly (4) including a gearbox (5) coupled with a differential (6) itself coupled with the driven wheels (7G, 7D) of the vehicle (1) by their respective axle shafts (8G, 8D), and at least one electrical machine (3) including a stator (10) and a rotor (11), cooperating with the heat engine (2) via the mechanical assembly to provide heat and/or hybrid traction to the driven wheels (7G, 7D). The invention is characterized in that the electrical machine (3) is arranged between the differential (6) and one of the driven wheels (7D), by surrounding the axle shaft (8D) connecting the driven wheel (7D) to the differential (6).
