  • Patent number: 7124288
Abstract: A programmable unit includes a command execution unit for carrying out commands, a memory device for storing data required for command execution and data emitted from the command execution unit, and a buffer-storage device for buffer storing the data emitted from the command execution unit. The command execution unit writes to the buffer-storage device data to be transferred to the memory device. The data written to the buffer storage device is transferred to the memory device at a later time. The programmable unit is distinguished by forming the buffer-storage device as a stack, and/or by providing a control apparatus that, when required, causes data stored in the buffer-storage device to be moved temporarily to another memory device. Such a programmable unit can carry out any buffer storage of events that may possibly be required quickly and easily in all circumstances.

  • Patent number: 7123629
Abstract: In the broadband network access device for transmitting narrowband, low-frequency voice signals and broadband, higher-frequency data signals, the voice data is sampled in the data clock pattern and subsequently decimated. The transmission of the data which has already been decimated to the voice clock to the voice DSP (DSP) is still carried out in the data clock pattern. The conversion to the voice clock pattern is carried out in a synchronization interface (SM), directly upstream of the voice DSP. The same applies correspondingly in the opposite direction of transmission. The invention is used in xDSL methods, for example ADSL.Lite.

  • Patent number: 7117343
Abstract: A program-controlled unit has a plurality of instruction-execution units for simultaneously executing successive instructions of a program that is to be executed. The program-controlled unit allows the number of access operations to a program memory storing the program that is to be executed to be reduced. The program-controlled unit has an assignment device which operates such that only the instructions for those instruction-execution units which are actually required for the execution of the program are stored in the program memory in which the program to be executed by the program-controlled unit is stored. The program includes a sequence of instructions which can be executed simultaneously. The assignment device allocates instructions that can be executed simultaneously to desired instruction-execution units for simultaneous execution, independent of each instruction's position within the sequence.

  • Publication number: 20020111985
Abstract: The invention provides a data processing device with a multiplicity of processors (P1-P5) which operate in parallel and to which a respective command (CMP1, CMP2, MOV1, MOV2, FSEL) for data processing can be supplied simultaneously. At least one of the processors (P5) can be supplied with a condition command (FSEL) which makes the execution of a further command (CMP1, CMP2, MOV1, MOV2) in at least one of the further processors (P1-P4) conditional on the condition command (FSEL).

  • Publication number: 20020083303
Abstract: A program-controlled unit is described having a plurality of instruction-execution units for simultaneously executing successive instructions of a program that is to be executed. The program-controlled unit described has a number of particular features allowing the number of access operations to a program memory storing the program that is to be executed can be reduced.
