  • Patent number: 6600306
Abstract: The invention concerns a method and apparatus for monitoring the polar compound content of a liquid bath disposed within a cooking vat to insure the liquid bath remains suitable for human consumption while in use. The invention thus teaches the use of a capacitive probe configured take an initial measurement of the dielectric constant of the liquid bath and thereby define a shutdown criterion. The dielectric constant is then continuously measured during subsequent heating cycles and compared with the initial measurement. A shutdown procedure is triggered when the difference between the initial measurement and subsequent measurements reach a predetermined threshold defined by the shutdown criteria. In this manner, the polar content of the cooking vat is continuously and automatically monitored such that operator supervision is not necessary.

  • Patent number: 6508656
Abstract: The multiple pin contactor device for bus bar systems includes at least one bus bar (3) consisting of at least two plates (1) stacked on top of and fixed to one another. This device includes at least one set of contactor pin forks (5) which coincide and are arranged one above the other, in which the contactor pin forks (5) of the different plates (1) are movable independently of one another when the plug-in contactor (10) is introduced.

  • Patent number: 6479751
Abstract: The invention relates to a contact disc (1) for a conducting plate (2) of busbars, comprising a contact surface (3) projecting upwards with respect to the surface of the conducting plate where the contact surface (3) is integral with the conducting plate (2) and where the segment-shaped slots (4a, 4b 14) are arranged all around, to make possible a deformation of the plate without a significant reduction of the surface of the contact disc provided for receiving an electronic component.

  • Patent number: 6297452
Abstract: The present invention relates to a curved or bent multilayer arrangement for conductor rails comprising several electrically conductive strips (1, 2) separated by layers of insulating material. In this arrangement, the conductive strips (1, 2) possess, along the line of the fold in the rail, a number of windows (5) arranged such that the windows of one strip are staggered with respect to those of another, and in which those same windows are sized in such a manner that the conductive strips (1, 2) are not overlaid along the line of the fold.

  • Patent number: 6203343
Abstract: The present invention relates to a cabling arrangement for motorized vehicles and similar comprising a system for electrical power supply and a system of data transmission via a busbar (1) to which components signals are addressed separately using a multiplexing process. This arrangement has at least one busbar (1) with at least two power conductors (2, 3) for the supply of electrical power to components and at least two conductors (4) used by the busbar data transmission system (1). All the conductors (2,3,4) are in the form of metal strips and are separated one from another by insulating sheet material (5) and assembled in a laminated or “sandwich” structure, each component or a secondary busbar taking off control or power current from the busbar through their respective connectors.
