    Abstract: A dimmable LED lamp assembly includes a power supply configured to receive an input power signal and produce a DC lamp current, a LED lamp coupled to the DC lamp current and configured to produce an amount of light corresponding to an amount of the DC lamp current, and a dimming controller coupled to the power supply and configured to adjust the amount of DC lamp current. The dimming controller is coupled to the input power signal and is further configured to determine a required dimming level based on the input power signal and to adjust the amount of DC lamp current such that the amount of light produced by the LED lamp corresponds to the determined required dimming level.
