  • Publication number: 20230154200
Abstract: A system and method are provided for making a probabilistic determination of the state of a lane transition which may be controlled by a traffic signal, such as a traffic cue. A determination of the state of transition of a traffic signal may be used by a vehicle to determine a course of action to take. In making the determination, the states of multiple traffic signals may be combined into one collection of elements that has values associated with the likelihood of the traffic signals being in a given state. Optionally, a determination may be made of whether a traffic signal is occluded.

  • Patent number: 10839522
Abstract: A vehicle that includes one or more sensors configured to output data and an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to receive first data from the one or more sensors at a first time, detect an object based on the first data received from the one or more sensors at the first time, classify the object into a classification based on the first data received from the one or more sensors at the first time, and receive second data from the one or more sensors at a second time. The second time is subsequent to the first time. The electronic control unit is further configured to select a proper subset of the second data for further processing based on the classification of the object, and track the object based on the proper subset of the second data selected for further processing.

  • Patent number: 10782656
Abstract: A method for parameterizing a functional software of a vehicle, including: receiving information about a vehicle state, transmitting the information about the vehicle state via a communication interface addressed to a remote processing unit outside the vehicle, and receiving, at the local processing unit in the vehicle, information about at least one parameter for influencing the vehicle behavior, which was transmitted by the remote processing unit outside the vehicle, via the communication interface.
