  • Patent number: 6899067
Abstract: A two-stroke engine, especially for a portable handheld work apparatus, includes a combustion chamber configured in a cylinder. The combustion chamber is delimited by a piston which moves upwardly and downwardly. Combustion air is supplied to the engine via an air channel. The air channel opens with an air channel window into the cylinder. The crankcase of the two-stroke engine is connected at pregiven piston positions to the combustion chamber via transfer channels. The transfer channels open with inlet windows into the cylinder. An injection nozzle opens into at least one transfer channel. In the region of top dead center of the piston, the air channel is connected via a piston window to a transfer channel. An injection nozzle is arranged in the transfer channel and injects fuel into the transfer channel during the induction of combustion air into the crankcase.

  • Publication number: 20040003784
Abstract: A two-stroke engine (1), especially for a portable handheld work apparatus, includes a combustion chamber (3) configured in a cylinder (2). The combustion chamber (3) is delimited by a piston (5) which moves upwardly and downwardly. Combustion air is supplied to the engine (1) via an air channel (19). The air channel (19) opens with an air channel window (27) into the cylinder (2). The crankcase (4) of the two-stroke engine (1) is connected at pregiven piston positions to the combustion chamber (3) via transfer channels (10, 11, 15, 23, 32, 34). The transfer channels (10, 11, 15, 23, 32, 34) open with inlet windows (12, 13, 17, 24, 33, 35) into the cylinder (2). An injection nozzle (16) opens into at least one transfer channel (15, 23, 34). In the region of top dead center of the piston (5, 25), the air channel is connected via a piston window (18, 26) to a transfer channel (15, 23, 34).

  • Patent number: 6484596
Abstract: The invention relates to a crankshaft starter-generator for an internal combustion engine wherein the starter-generator is drive-coupled to a crankshaft of the internal combustion engine and serves both as the starter and the generator. A stator of the starter-generator is coupled with torsional strength to a motor block of the internal combustion engine. A rotor of the starter-generator is drive-coupled with the crankshaft of the internal combustion engine. A carrier is arranged coaxially with respect to the crankshaft and drive-coupled thereto. The rotor is drive-coupled to the carrier. The rotor and the carrier are arranged coaxially with respect to each other and are coupled to one another with torsional strength. Furthermore, the stator is arranged on the inside, and the rotor is arranged on the outside of the starter-generator.

  • Patent number: 4354567
Abstract: A wheel suspension for driven wheels, especially rear wheels of a motor vehicle, by means of approximately triangular tilted control arms. Each of the control arms includes a longitudinal control arm and a transverse control arm, the transverse control arm is articulated on. The vehicle side opposite to the respectively associated wheel supported by the tilted control arm beyond a longitudinal center axis of the vehicle to the vehicle superstructure. A tilted control arm carries an axle gear mechanism connected to the wheel carried by this tilted control arm through a jointless shaft. The wheel of the other tilted control arm is connected to the axle gear mechanism through a jointed or universal shaft.
