  • Patent number: 8744388
Abstract: A broadcast radio event such as a song or a concert promotion, and a plurality of radio data fields corresponding to the event such as RTplus information, are received at a device. A user selects to display broadcast radio options simultaneous with receiving the broadcast radio event. Then is displayed a set of user-selectable options, at least one o which is derived from at least one of the radio data fields. In various embodiments, each time a new set of radio data fields are received, the set of displayed options is updated, with certain provisions to ‘freeze’ the displayed set of options. Examples of a derived option include a link to an Internet page, a phone number or email address, and posting a time and place of an advertised event to a calendar. A method, device, computer program product, and apparatus are detailed.

  • Publication number: 20090275306
Abstract: A broadcast radio event, such as a song, and a plurality of radio data fields corresponding to the event, such as certain text radio data system RDS fields, is received at a broadcast radio receiver device. At least one radio data field is compared to image identifiers stored locally in the broadcast radio receiver. If a match is found between the at least one radio data field and an image identifier, a locally stored image associated with the matching image identifier is displayed at a local graphical display of the broadcast radio receiver device. If no locally stored matching image is found, an external database may be searched similarly and a non-local matching image is displayed. Various rules for matching are disclosed, as are an apparatus and a computer program product. The selected image may also be displayed alongside other radio data fields as text.

  • Publication number: 20090144667
Abstract: An apparatus including a display for presenting text; a touch sensitive input device configured to enable a user to make a trace input via the display; and a processor, wherein the processor is configured to detect a first trace input that starts at a predetermined first location and extends across the touch sensitive input device to a second location wherein the processor is configured such that the detection of the first trace input actuates the deletion of the text presented between the predetermined first location and the second location.

  • Patent number: 7328031
Abstract: A message exchange session between wireless communication terminals via a wireless network is initiated from one of the terminals. The user of the initiating terminal invites at least one other communication terminal to participate in the message exchange session. This is done by forwarding a message text to said at least one other communication terminal. The user of the other terminal responds to received message by inputting a message text for replying to the received message. Then the responding terminal automatically adds the inputted reply message text to the received message text, whereby the aggregate message text includes the message exchange session history, and the aggregate message text is then transmitted to the other communication terminals being party to the message exchange session.
