  • Patent number: 12240377
Abstract: A vehicle window includes a window body assembly having at least one window body, the window body assembly having an outer side facing the vehicle environment and an inner side facing the vehicle interior and a light-conducting layer forming the inner side; an illuminating device configured to couple light into the light-conducting layer; and a light-decoupling device configured to decouple light from the light-conducting layer in the direction of the vehicle interior. The light-decoupling device includes transparent structural elements made of a polymer material and molded or connected to the inner side of the window body assembly by extrusion or foaming or injection molding or gluing.

  • Publication number: 20240416518
Abstract: A method for actuating a robot to perform a task. In the method, at least one image of a scene is provided; object types are ascertained for object(s) in the image; the task is fed with the object types to a trained language model, the trained language model outputs a plurality of candidate actions; the candidate actions are evaluated with a progress metric to determine the extent to which the performance of the candidate action promises progress with regard to the predetermined task, and evaluated with a predetermined success metric to determine the probability with which an attempt to perform the candidate action will be successful; the values of the progress metric and the success metric are merged into an overall rating of the candidate action; a candidate action having the best overall rating is selected; and the robot is actuated to perform the selected candidate action.

  • Publication number: 20240351410
Abstract: In a vehicle roof system and a method for mounting such a vehicle roof system, the vehicle roof system has a front roof module and a rear roof module, wherein the front roof module has a front frame and the rear roof module has a rear frame. The rear roof module fixedly closes a rear region of a roof opening or a rear roof opening, and the front roof module can partly expose or completely close a front region of the roof opening or a front roof opening by a displaceable cover. A central strut part is arranged between the two roof modules, transversely with respect to a vehicle longitudinal axis. A reinforcing plate is foamed or bonded on the rear roof module and is connected to the front frame or to the rear frame, in particular riveted, screwed or bonded, wherein the reinforcing plate forms the central strut part.

  • Patent number: 9810105
Abstract: A system includes a camshaft disposed along an axis from a drive end to a opposite end, and the camshaft includes a plurality of journals configured to support the camshaft and is spaced along the axis. The camshaft includes a plurality of cams spaced along the axis, and is disposed along the camshaft in sets, where each set is disposed between a respective pair of journals of the plurality of journals. The camshaft includes a plurality of mass portions, where each mass portion is disposed between a set of cams and a respective journal. The plurality of mass portions is disposed along the camshaft such that a center of mass of the plurality of mass portions is nearer to the drive end than to the opposite end, and the plurality of mass portions is configured to increase a natural frequency of the shaft.
