  • Patent number: 9746492
Abstract: In a method for checking the plausibility of sensor signals, a first sensor element detects at least one first physical quantity and outputs it as a first sensor signal, and a second sensor element detects a second physical quantity correlated with the first physical quantity and outputs it as a second sensor signal. The first sensor element has a first reliability range having an upper limit and/or a lower limit, which range is related to the second physical quantity. The first physical quantity detected by the first sensor element is recognized as plausible if the second physical quantity detected by the second sensor element lies within the corresponding first reliability range of the first sensor element.

    Assignee: ROBERT BOSCH GMBH

  • Patent number: 8489288
Abstract: A method of activating a passenger safety arrangement of a vehicle, the method including reading in a roll rate of the vehicle and triggering the passenger safety arrangement when, at a first time, at least one roll rate value is present, which exhibits a positive sign and is larger than a roll rate positive threshold value and when, at a second time after the first time, at least one roll rate value is present, which exhibits a negative sign and is smaller than a roll rate negative threshold value.

  • Patent number: 8249779
Abstract: In a method and a device for activating passenger protection device(s), the passenger protection device(s) are activated as a function of a first signal of an acceleration sensor system and a second signal of a structure-borne noise sensor system. The activation is decided as a function of a position of a vector composed of at least two features of the first signal in relation to a characteristic curve, the characteristic curve being modified as a function of the second signal.

  • Publication number: 20090055054
Abstract: A device and a method for activating passenger protection means are described in which an acceleration sensor system which is sensitive in the vehicle longitudinal direction generates a first signal and a second acceleration sensor system which is sensitive in the vehicle transverse direction generates a second signal. Furthermore, an analyzer circuit is provided which activates the passenger protection means as a function of the first and second signals, the analyzer circuit (?C) determining at least one measure for vibrational energy occurring during a crash and deciding for activation as a function of this measure.
