    Abstract: A steering column module is proposed comprising a steering angle sensor, wherein the code disc (27) of the steering angle sensor (3) is disposed therein such that the space which can be used for a signal transmission case (1) is enlarged. The steering angle measurement is insensitive to inaccuracies in the steering column (5) and the steering wheel. The steering angle sensor can furthermore be mounted and its function can be checked outside of the vehicle.
