  • Publication number: 20220075064
Abstract: A device comprising a processor designed to execute a motion estimation based on intensity images (AQ+BQ, AI+BI) from a time-of-flight camera to generate motion vectors.
    Type: Application
    Filed: December 18, 2019
    Publication date: March 10, 2022
    Applicant: ZF Friedrichshafen AG
    Inventors: Christian SCHAALE, Steffen BUCHER
  • Patent number: 10746877
Abstract: An imaging system for a land vehicle may include an imaging sensor, an evaluation device, and an output interface. The imaging sensor may be configured to acquire first signals and second signals, wherein the first signals are obtained via beam pulses provided by a first emitter and reflected on an object and the second signals are obtained via beam patterns provided by a second emitter and reflected on the objected. The evaluation device may be configured to obtain a first distance measurement based on the first signals and a second distance measurement based on the second signals. The evaluation device may also be configured to obtain a third distance measurement via a comparison of the first distance measurement and the second distance measurement.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 28, 2019
Date of Patent: August 18, 2020
    Assignee: ZF Friedrichshafen AG
    Inventor: Christian Schaale

  • Patent number: 8957963
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method for calibrating a camera-based system of a vehicle (F), having a pane (S), in particular of a camera-based driver assistance system. A type of the pane (S), in particular the tinting thereof, is detected by way of the camera-based system.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 28, 2010
Date of Patent: February 17, 2015
Assignee: ADC Automotive Distance Control Systems GmbH
Inventors: Carlos Almeida, Christian Schaale, Thomas Fechner
  • Patent number: 8391558
Abstract: A method for determining at least one threshold value S for distinguishing, in the dark, between reflectors and vehicle lights that are recorded as light spots by a camera sensor oriented towards the surroundings of a vehicle. The camera sensor records a series of images of the surroundings of the vehicle. At least one light spot in the series of images is tracked. When the tracking of a light spot is completed, at least one parameter (for example the maximum intensity Imax of the light spot in the entire series of images, or the lifetime ? of the light spot) is determined from measured values, for example from the intensity of the light spot in each image. The threshold value S is then adapted to the determined parameter/s. The determined parameter value of the light spot is included in a frequency distribution of the parameter values from previously tracked light spots.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: March 5, 2013
Assignee: ADC Automotive Distance Controls Systems GmbH
