Publication number: 20140318103Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling a diesel particulate filter is disclosed. The control is carried out with the aid of a soot loading model selected from a plurality of available soot loading models including at least one soot loading physical model which makes use of signals from an exhaust gas pressure sensor. A reliability score is allocated to each soot loading model such that the soot loading model with the best reliability score is used for the diesel particulate filter control. If a DPF parking effect is identified based on an engine shut-off time a DPF inlet temperature either the reliability score of the soot loading physical model or the reliability scores of all remaining (non-physical) soot loading models are changed, and use of the soot loading physical model is avoided or disabled to help the control of the diesel particulate filter.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 30, 2014Publication date: October 30, 2014Applicant: GM GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY OPERATIONS LLCInventors: Giacomo LATROFA, Giuseppe SCHIAVONE, Markus HEMM, Christian SCHAEFER

Publication number: 20140221694Abstract: The invention describes previously undisclosed crystal forms of astaxanthin designated crystal form I and II. It has been surprisingly found that the two crystal forms of astaxanthin show an improved bioavailability, a relatively high solubility in specific organic solvents and an increased long-term stability. For example the new forms are stable in solid form for at least 90 days at a temperature of 20° C.-40° C. It was further found that the two crystal forms can be prepared from each other. Therefore the invention also relates to methods for preparing said crystal forms. In addition, the invention relates to administration forms (hereinafter also called “formulations”) comprising one of the two crystal forms according to the invention or mixtures thereof dissolved or suspended in oil or organic-solvent.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 4, 2014Publication date: August 7, 2014Applicant: DSM IP ASSETS B.V.Inventors: Jingfei GUO, Matthew J. Publication number: 20140173340Abstract: A first future time occurs sooner than a second future time. The first future time indicates when the first and second future times are to be evaluated. The second future time provides a boundary between schedules occurring sooner and schedules occurring later. A schedule is generated and added to a database stored in a non-volatile storage. The schedule is for executing, in relation to an incident, an incident-handling action corresponding to a condition matching the incident. The schedule has an execution time at which to execute the incident-handling action in relation to the incident. Where the execution time is sooner than the second future time, the schedule is added to a queue stored in a volatile memory. Upon a current time equaling the execution time, the schedule is removed from the queue and correspondingly executing the incident-handling action in relation to the incident.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 31, 2011Publication date: June 19, 2014Inventors: Bernd Gutjahr, Martin Bosler, Christian Schaefer

Patent number: 7533132Abstract: A method and system that replicates state information stored in a first data processing system to a second data processing system, whereby the state information is kept in a set of records. An incoming request message requesting a change of the state information is received and an indicator is assigned to the incoming request message representing the order in which the incoming request messages are processed. The sender of the incoming request message is sent a response message after confirmation that the at least one first storage subsystem received a modification record containing the indicator for the incoming request message and modification records of all predecessors of the incoming request message. The at least one first storage subsystem may send an acknowledge message to the first data processing unit confirming receipt of a modification record.Type: GrantFiled: March 20, 2002Date of Patent: May 12, 2009Assignee: SAP AGInventors: Christian Schaefer, Lutz Schmidt, Wolfgang Reichert
