  • Publication number: 20100031608
Abstract: A method of shrink wrapping packs of containers and a shrink-wrapping arrangement for performing the method. The abstract of the disclosure is submitted herewith as required by 37 C.F.R. §1.72(b). As stated in 37 C.F.R. §1.72(b): A brief abstract of the technical disclosure in the specification must commence on a separate sheet, preferably following the claims, under the heading “Abstract of the Disclosure.” The purpose of the abstract is to enable the Patent and Trademark Office and the public generally to determine quickly from a cursory inspection the nature and gist of the technical disclosure. The abstract shall not be used for interpreting the scope of the claims. Therefore, any statements made relating to the abstract are not intended to limit the claims in any manner and should not be interpreted as limiting the claims in any manner.

  • Publication number: 20050049820
Abstract: A system for determining the position, orientation and system gain factor of a probe includes a plurality of magnetic field sources and at least one magnetic field sensor, such that a combination of a magnetic field sensor and a magnetic field source generates a unique measured magnetic field value. The system includes a probe whose gain, position, and orientation affect these unique measured magnetic field values. A processor is configured to receive and iteratively process these unique measured magnetic field values to determine a system gain factor indicative of the gain of the probe and a plurality of location factors indicative of the position and orientation of the probe. The number of unique measured magnetic field values generated must be at least equal to the sum of the number of gain and location factors calculated.

  • Patent number: 6385482
Abstract: A device for determining the position of objects (T) inside a space (P), in particular for locating a tumor inside a human body. At least one emitter unit (SE) and at least one receiver unit (S11, . . . S22) are provided and, in a first embodiment, the emitter unit(s) (SE) are located inside and/or as close as possible to the object (T) under observation and the receiver units(s) (S11, . . . S22) are located preferably outside the space (P). In a second embodiment, the receiver unit(s) (SE) are located inside and/or as close as possible to the object (T) under observation and the emitter unit(s) (S11, . . . S22) are located preferably outside the space (P).

  • Patent number: 6288785
Abstract: A system for determining spatial position and/or orientation of one or more objects. The system includes an optical subsystem and a non-optical subsystem. The optical subsystem includes optical subsystem light sources mounted to one or more of the objects and an optical subsystem sensor adapted to detect energy from the optical subsystem light sources. The optical subsystem has an optical subsystem coordinate system in a fixed relationship with the optical subsystem sensor. The optical subsystem sensor produces position and/or orientation signals relative to the optical subsystem coordinate system in response to optical subsystem light source detected energy. The non-optical subsystem has a non-optical coordinate system and is adapted to produce position and/or orientation signals of one or more of the objects relative to the non-optical subsystem coordinate system.

  • Patent number: 6284679
Abstract: A cloth web is prepared by providing a plastic cloth with a metallic casing layer on both sides thereof by vapor deposition, plasma spraying or cathode sputtering, and then galvanically coating the resultant material with a metal coating.

  • Patent number: 6202553
Abstract: In a process for the production of a screen printing form comprising a grid-like screen web with a coating of an emulsion, in particular a photosensitive emulsion, a screen web is partially provided with at least one coating area which is composed of a plurality of separately applied coating regions. Preferably the emulsion is applied in a plurality of mutually parallel adjacent coating strips of defined width by at least one nozzle.

  • Patent number: 5581918
Abstract: In an apparatus for stretching out a rectangular gauze material or the like cloth portion in a printing frame with tensioning devices which are arranged at the sides thereof and in which the cloth portion is fixed by a respective clamping mouth comprising clamping jaws (32, 36) which are movable relative to each other and which can be applied against each other on the closing travel of a closing lever under a pressing pressure and then the cloth portion is tensioned by a change in position of the clamping mouth units, caused by a piston/cylinder unit for a flow medium, in the pulling direction, when the clamping jaws (32, 36) are brought together the closing travel which is determined by the closing lever (50) is followed by a further closing travel and same is controlled by a piston rod. In addition the piston rod is to be part of the piston/cylinder unit for the pulling movement of the stretching device (16).
