  • Publication number: 20250049458
Abstract: A medical instrument includes two pivotally coupled branches. Each branch has a handling portion and a jaw portion. The jaw portions form a mouth which is movable between a closed state, in which the jaw portions are moved inwardly, and an open state, in which the jaw portions are moved outwardly. At least one branch includes a branch member and jaw member. The branch member includes one of the handling portions and a coupling. The jaw member forms one of the jaw portions and has a complementary coupling. The coupling and complementary coupling form a releasable connection to exchangeably attach the jaw member to the branch member. The coupling includes two wedge surfaces opposing each other along a medial/lateral axis. The wedge surfaces are inclined proximally toward each other by a first angle of inclination, and inclined inwardly toward each other by a second angle of inclination.

  • Publication number: 20230380852
Abstract: A medical instrument includes a first instrument branch having a first bearing portion with a first support surface, and includes a second instrument branch having a second bearing portion with a second support surface. The first support surface bears flat against the second support surface such that the first support surface can pivot in a sliding fashion so that the first instrument branch is pivotable relative to the second instrument branch about a pivot axis. The first bearing portion and/or the second bearing portion has, in the region of the pivot axis, a shoulder portion or a shoulder element with an end face that includes the associated support surface. The shoulder portion or shoulder element is stepped outwardly relative to the associated bearing portion in the direction of the pivot axis so that the associated support surface is stepped outwardly relative to the associated bearing portion.

  • Patent number: 10845802
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for operating a motor vehicle. At least one breathing movement parameter describing an upper body movement of a user of the motor vehicle and a driving movement parameter are detected, using a sensor device of the motor vehicle, and a breathing signal and a driving movement signal that describe how the parameters are generated. A vitality parameter that describes breathing of the user is determined on the basis of the signals. An evaluation and control device of the motor vehicle ascertains a reference value range of stored, user-specific reference values of the vitality parameter, a determined value of the vitality parameter lying in said range, and, on the basis of the ascertained reference value range, a driver state index is determined. A control signal for operating a driver assistance device of the motor vehicle is generated as a function of the determined driver state index.
