  • Publication number: 20240106179
Abstract: A pressing tool has two grips movable relative to one another, a crimping unit with a crimping drum arranged in a tool head of the pressing tool and having at least one crimping die and a depository for storing a strip of ferrules connected to one another as a belt. The tool also includes a transport device movable in a prestressed manner toward the crimping drum to transport the ferrule strip from the depository toward the crimping drum. The transport device has a transport plate and a transport lever pivotably arranged and sprung relative to the transport plate. The transport lever has an attachment close to the crimping drum that can be pressed in between adjacent ferrules there arranged. The attachment is arranged between the transport device and a support surface of a head cap. There is a holding-down device which is spring supported on the support surface and which presses the transport plate against the transport lever.

  • Publication number: 20230395267
Abstract: A procedure to determine the probability of a patient suffering from sepsis includes the following: successively detecting respective values for at least four predefined health-specific parameters of the patient over a predetermined detection period, determining an input value for each health-specific parameter, wherein this input value is dependent on a value greater than or equal to the 0.45 quantile and less than or equal to the 0.55 quantile of the values detected over the predetermined detection period successively for the respective health-specific parameter, inputting the input values for the four predefined health-specific parameters into a regression model or artificial neural network, wherein, when the input values are input, the regression model or artificial neural network provides a probability of the patient suffering from sepsis after a predetermined duration. This makes it possible to improve the accuracy of the indication of the probability of a patient suffering from sepsis.

  • Patent number: 8980206
Abstract: A method is illustrated and described for reducing unwanted substances by injecting a reactant into a flue gas of a steam generator. In order that the reactant can also be used in larger steam generators and/or combustion chambers, a method is proposed, in which the reactant is injected into the combustion chamber of the steam generator via a reactant opening of a multi-component nozzle, in which an enveloping medium is injected into the combustion chamber through at least one enveloping medium opening arranged outside the reactant opening, and in which the enveloping medium at least partly envelops the reactant in the combustion chamber and in this way at least partly shields the reactant from the flue gas.

  • Publication number: 20120272875
Abstract: Disclosed is a burner for particulate fuel, in particular made of biomass, with a primary tube and a core tube arranged in the primary tube. The primary tube and the core tube form a primary tube gap and the primary tube gap is configured to guide a flow of particulate fuel and gaseous combustion means from an inlet-side end to an outlet-side opening of the primary tube. In order to prevent the drawbacks occurring when using coarse-grain particles, preferably biomass, as a fuel for dust firing, or at least to reduce them without having to accept an increased outlay for equipment and/or additional energy losses, at least one device is provided for centring the flow within the primary tube in the region of the outlet-side end of the primary tube.
