  • Publication number: 20230398993
Abstract: A method for the automated detection of a seat occupancy state of a seating arrangement involves receiving or generating measurement data representing an associated radar point cloud for each measurement frame from a plurality of measurement frames; and determining a seat occupancy state of the seating arrangement based on an evaluation model, which returns, as a function of at least two groups of radar point clouds, one of a plurality of predefined possible seat occupancy states of the seating arrangement as an evaluation result. For each radar point cloud, the set of its radar points is segmented into clusters in order to individually assign to each of the seats one of the clusters located spatially closest to it. A stored seat occupancy state is updated based on the evaluation result only if the value is less than a threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20230306776
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for automatically estimating the body weight of a person, comprising the following steps: generating or receiving image data representing an image, captured by an image sensor, of at least one sub-area of the body of a person by means of pixels; classifying at least one subset of the pixels based on a classification, in which different classes each correspond with another body area, wherein the pixels to be classified are each assigned to a determined body area of the person and respective confidence values are determined for these class assignments; for each of at least two of the classes with assigned pixels, calculating a position of at least one reference point, determined according to a specification, for the body area corresponding with this class, based on the pixels assigned to this class; determining a respective distance between at least two of the selected reference points; determining at least one estimation value for the body weight of the person based on a prede

  • Patent number: 11364634
Abstract: A method for producing or assembling a product which includes at least two components, for example a motor vehicle or a motor vehicle module, by at least two fixing parts. The first fixing part is formed as a female part and the second fixing part is formed as a male part. The components disposed at a processing station and the first fixing part are measured by a measuring device, for example by a stationary camera or a camera fastened on a first or a second manipulator or photogrammetry bar having three cameras, and a deviation from a target geometry or target position is determined, and a corrected target position of the second fixing part is calculated on the basis of the determined deviation, such that the second fixing part is joined together with the first fixing part by the first manipulator and the product is thus produced.

  • Patent number: 8226060
Abstract: A connection device for adjustably connecting a surgical apparatus connected to a first end of the connection device to an attachment part on a stationary device, such as an operating table, which can be connected to a second end of the connection device. The connection device has a first holding arm and a second holding arm, connected to the first holding arm in a hinged fashion via a ball and socket joint. A clamping apparatus is provided for detachably clamping the ball of the ball and socket joint in the ball and socket joint receptacle. A hydraulic apparatus is also provided which, when operated, loads the clamping apparatus with a force opposing the clamping force. Further, a clamping force transformation apparatus transforms the force applied by the clamping apparatus into a larger clamping force.

  • Patent number: 6078319
Abstract: An integrated circuit such as a video controller may be provided with core logic circuitry using CMOS technology which may be operated at different supply voltages such as 3.3 or 5 Volts. At lower supply voltages, the CMOS circuitry may run slower. For a video controller, certain higher resolution, pixel depths, and refresh rates may require high speed operation of the video controller. A monitoring circuit monitors the video mode, pixel resolution, pixel depth, and refresh rate and determines which supply voltage may be used to operate the video controller at such levels. An output signal from the monitoring circuit may be used by a switching circuit to supply an appropriate supply voltage to the integrated circuit. At lower performance levels, the integrated circuit may be operated at lower voltages to conserve power.

  • Patent number: 5417117
Abstract: The object of the invention is a procedure for vulcanization which includes a determination of the vulcanization coefficient of an elastomeric workpiece, and an apparatus for the application of the procedure. Prior art is the measurement of the rapture strength or the penetration depth of a needle and the calculation of the vulcanization coefficient from the measured value. The disadvantage is its restriction to the application for time-consuming measurements of samples taken at not too short intervals. Series testing is excluded. The task consists in defining a procedure which leaves the workpiece undestroyed and where the measuring time is so short that it can be applied in series; and in the development of the appropriate apparatus.
