Abstract: A radiography cassette capable of receiving at least one X-ray or Gamma radiation detector includes a front frame with a front wall through which a radiation to be detected can passand a rear frame with a rear wall, where the front and rear frames define an inner section of the cassette. A discontinuous foam layer is provided between the location for receiving the detector and the rear wall, where the discontinuous foam layer is formed by a plurality of studs oriented perpendicularly to the front and rear walls and distributed in the inner section of the cassette, so as to be able to be laterally deformed on the crushing thereof under pressure. A temporary fixation means is provided for maintaining the cassette in a closed configuration or for opening the same.
