  • Publication number: 20250145254
Abstract: A personnel transfer device includes a base, a top, a plurality of generally peripherally-disposed cables extending between the base and the top, a generally centrally-disposed support column coupled between the base and the top for maintaining a generally-fixed distance between the base and the top and for providing tension in the plurality of generally peripherally-disposed cables extending between the base and the top, and a heave compensator configured to provide damping of motion of a first end thereof relative to a second end thereof, the heave compensator disposed generally longitudinally within a lateral extent of the generally centrally-disposed support column. In some embodiments, the first end of the heave compensator is attached to the generally centrally-disposed support column, and the second end of the heave compensator is configured for coupling to a master link assembly for lifting of the personnel transfer device.

  • Publication number: 20250090967
Abstract: This invention is a recreational swimming pool swing set. Defined as a structure on which a rope swing (or swing of any type) is attached and used for swinging on into a swimming pool (or the like), this simple invention provides a new and engaging recreational activity for pool users. Existing rope swings like those found along river banks and lakes are generally dangerous, inaccessible, and don't pertain to the swimming pool market. This suggests an obvious need for the development of the highly favorable present invention, “the pool swing”. Further, this invention naturally relates to and complements existing pool concepts like water slides, evidenced by the relationship between swing sets and slides on existing playgrounds. The invention of the recreational swimming pool swing set therefore creates a well-rounded market and completed family of products for pool users, and serves as a fundamental breakthrough for the recreational pool industry itself.

  • Publication number: 20240400300
Abstract: A waste bin with a pedal-operated swivel lid, in which a pedal is located in a bottom region, on a front side of said waste bin, which pedal is connected via a lever mechanism to a pull element, in particular to a pull strap. The pull element runs on a rear side of the waste bin from its bottom region to the swivel lid and produces an operative connection between the pedal and the swivel lid. The pedal is arranged extendably on the waste bin in such a way that, in a first, pushed-in position, it does not protrude beyond the front side of the waste bin, and, in a second, extended position, it protrudes beyond the front side of the waste bin and is operatively connected to the lever mechanism in such a way that stepping upon the pedal 3 opens the swivel lid.

  • Patent number: 11988851
Abstract: Compact lens systems that may be used in small form factor cameras. The lens system may include a master lens with two or more lens elements arranged along an optical axis and having refractive power, and an optical actuator located on the object side of the master lens that may provide autofocus (AF) and/or optical image stabilization (OIS) functionality for the camera. An aperture stop for the camera may be included in the optical actuator, for example between a substrate and a flexible optical element of the optical actuator. Including the aperture stop in the optical actuator rather than in the lens stack may allow the optical actuator to be smaller in the X-Y dimensions (perpendicular to the optical (Z) axis) than it would be in a similar camera with the aperture stop located in the lens stack.

  • Publication number: 20230419936
Abstract: A semi-active noise control system includes a layer configured to be part of an interior panel of an aircraft The layer includes conductive tracks, a driver arrangement, tuned mass dampers, and sensors. Each tuned mass damper has an eigenfrequency that depends on a control signal applied to the tuned mass damper and is connected to the driver arrangement via a conductive track and configured to receive control signals from the driver arrangement. Each sensor is connected to the driver arrangement via a conductive track and is configured to sense vibrations and/or acoustic sounds and send measurement signals to the driver arrangement. The driver arrangement is configured to analyze the measurement signals and to generate and send control signals to the tuned mass dampers such that the eigenfrequency of the tuned mass dampers is matched with the frequency of the vibrations and/or acoustic sounds sensed by the sensors.

  • Publication number: 20230086358
Abstract: A serving caddy with perimetral cutout holsters is provided. The perimetral cutout holsters are cutouts of the body of the serving caddy, wherein the cutout communicates with the body's periphery defining a gap of the periphery. Each cutout holster is dimensioned and adapted to slidably receive a bottom of conical, tapering container in an unengaged state though when the serving caddy is raised relative to the container, the cutout holster and the container form and engaged state along an upper half of the container's sidewall. The serving caddy has a centrally disposed handle cutout pair that defines a cross bar or handle portion, enabling a secure grip of the serving caddy simply by singlehandedly grabbing the handle portion, whereby the serving caddy is secure the instant it is lifted off a supporting surface.
