  • Publication number: 20240082289
Abstract: The invention relates to methods, uses, systems, arrays, engineered nucleotide sequences and vectors for inhibiting bacterial population growth or for altering the relative ratio of sub-populations of first and second bacteria in a mixed population of bacteria. The invention is particularly useful, for example, for treatment of microbes such as for environmental, medical, food and beverage use. The invention relates inter alia to methods of controlling microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC) or biofouling of a substrate or fluid in an industrial or domestic system.

  • Publication number: 20240054738
Abstract: Described herein is a method for generating a two-dimensional (2D) image of one or more products within a physical scene is provided. The method comprises: obtaining, via a communication network from another computing device, an image of the physical scene; obtaining, via the communication network from the other computing device, position information indicative of a target position of a first product in the physical scene; rendering a 2D image of a second product in the physical scene using the image of the physical scene, the position information, and a 3D model of the second product; and providing, via the communication network to the other computing device, the rendered 2D image of the second product in the physical scene for display by the other computing device.

  • Patent number: 11769195
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for visualizing a surface covering on at least a portion of a surface in an image of a scene. The method comprises identifying, using at least one computer processor, a surface plane from the image of the scene, determining, for each pixel of a plurality of pixels corresponding to the surface plane, whether the pixel corresponds to at least a portion of the surface in the scene, and generating an updated image of the scene by overlaying on the surface plane, a visualization of a plurality of surface covering tiles on pixels along the surface plane determined to correspond to at least a portion of the surface in the scene.

  • Patent number: 11769308
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a mobile device configured to guide a user, via an augmented reality (AR) interface generated by the mobile device, to capture images of the physical object using a camera of the mobile device. The mobile device may be configured to obtain boundary information indicative of a boundary enclosing the physical object (e.g., a box enclosing the physical object). The mobile device may be configured to use the boundary information to determine positions from which the user is to capture images of the physical object. The mobile device may be configured to guide the user to capture the images using the AR interface by guiding the user to each of the positions in the AR interface (e.g., by generating on or more GUI elements in the AR interface that indicate a position from which the user is to capture an image).

  • Patent number: 11562544
Abstract: A display of an augmented reality-enabled (AR) device, such as a mobile phone, can be used to transfer a graphical object between a secondary display, such as a computer monitor, that is captured by a camera of the AR device, and AR space, where the object is visible only through the AR interface of the AR device. A graphical object can be selected through the AR interface and, for example, moved around on a canvas of the secondary display by the user of the AR device. When the AR interface is used to move an enabled object near an edge of the canvas or physical boundary of the secondary display, the object as shown on the secondary display can be made to disappear from the secondary display to be replaced by a virtual object shown only on the AR interface in a similar location.
