Abstract: A tube burner has an adjustable length with two tubes that telescopingly slide within one another. When adjusted to the desired length, a screw is inserted into the two aligned combustion openings to hold the tubes in a fixed position.

Abstract: A stackable charcoal starter for use in lighting charcoal comprises a base having a continuous wall extending upward therefrom, the wall having a plurality of air inlet openings near its lower end and an opening at its upper end. In a preferred embodiment, the wall extends frusto-conically from a larger upper end to a smaller lower end. A handle assembly located near an upper end of the wall has a first section extending outward from the wall and a second section extending downward from the first section. A shield for protecting a user's hands from the hot surface of the wall extends downward from the first section between the wall and the second section. The first section comprises an aperture of a size sufficient to receive a handle assembly and heat shield of an identical charcoal starter with the result that identical charcoal starters can be stacked on top of one another in close relation.
