  • Patent number: 10708471
Abstract: The alignment of a camera system is less expensive when using a holder with a plurality of connecting pieces, each implemented for connecting, fitting or clamping with a counterpart of a camera housing or an objective, a holder that is implemented such that the connecting pieces or holder modules of the holder, where the connecting pieces are held rigidly or merely at rotation axes, are held rigidly with respect to one another along at least one common spatial direction.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 16, 2015
Date of Patent: July 7, 2020
Assignee: Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft zur Foerderung der angewandten Forschung e.V.
    Inventors: Christian Weissig, Arne Finn
  • Publication number: 20200073208
Abstract: An illumination system for illuminating a scene location emits light from a light surface in order to form a keying background for recording the scene location.
    Type: Application
    Filed: November 11, 2019
    Publication date: March 5, 2020
Inventors: Bernd DUCKSTEIN, Peter KAUFF, Oliver SCHREER, Danny TATZELT, Christian WEISSIG, Ingo FELDMANN
  • Patent number: 9462184
Abstract: A provision of high quality panoramic or semi-panoramic 3D scenes is achieved at reasonable efforts by arranging the plurality of camera pairs, each of which is associated with a respective one of mirror plane surfaces of a pyramid or clipped-pyramid shaped mirror in that same is directed towards the respective associated mirror plane surface, such that for each camera pair the virtual positions of pivot points of the cameras of the respective camera pair are offset from each other along a straight baseline which, in turn, is offset from the axis of the mirror, and a distance between virtual points of a left-hand channel camera of a first camera pair associated with a first mirror plane surface and a right-hand channel camera of a second camera pair associated with a second mirror plane surface positioned neighboring the first mirror plane surface, deviates from a length of the baselines of the camera pairs by less than 10% of the length of the baselines.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 8, 2013
Date of Patent: October 4, 2016
Assignee: Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft zur Foerderung der angewandten Forschung e.V.
Inventors: Peter Kauff, Peter Eisert, Joachim Schuessler, Christian Weissig, Arne Finn
