    Abstract: A control apparatus and method for operating a road-bound hybrid vehicle are provided. The vehicles includes a control apparatus for controlling the drive torque of a first drive unit which is associated with a first axle and of the drive torque of a second drive unit which is associated with a second axle. One drive unit has at least one electric motor and the other drive unit has at least one internal combustion engine, wherein a load point increase, by which an energy store for operating the electric motor is charged, is limited by the internal combustion engine and the control unit. The limiting is performed by: in a first step, determining a maximum permissible upper limit for the load increase torque under optimum traction conditions depending on the steering angle and on the vehicle speed. In a second step, performing, as required, a torque-reducing adaptation of the previously determined upper limit to match traction-impairing environmental influences which may be present.

    Abstract: A control system and method are provided for a motor vehicle having an electronic control unit, by which the drive torque of a drive unit can be variably distributed, as required, to at least two axles. A drive-oriented control can be specified for the purpose of a primarily single-axle drive. By way of a comparison unit, preferably on the basis of a circle of forces, a driving-dynamic desired parameter demanded particularly on a basis of the driver's intention is compared with a driving-dynamic potential parameter. A change from the drive-oriented control to a driving-dynamics-oriented control for the purpose of a primarily multi-axle drive takes place only when a defined threshold value, for example, 70%, is exceeded relative to the driving-dynamic potential parameter, for example, a limit range of the circle of forces.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a laser device being formed of at least one VCSEL (15) with intracavity contacts. The VCSEL comprises a layer structure (18) with an active region (6) between a first DBR (4) and a second DBR (10), a first current-injection layer (5) of a first conductivity type between the first DBR (4) and the active region (6), and a second current-injection layer (8) of a second conductivity type between the second DBR (10) and the active region (6). The first and second current-injection layers (5, 8) are in contact with a first and a second metallic contact (11, 12), respectively. The first and/or second DBR (4, 10) are formed of alternating Aluminum oxide and Al(x)Ga(1?x)As containing layers. The proposed design of this VCSEL allows an increased efficiency and lower production costs of such a laser since the top and bottom DBRs may be formed of a considerable reduced thickness.

    Abstract: A method and a control device are provided for operating a road-coupled hybrid vehicle. The hybrid vehicle has an electronic control unit, a primary motor associated with a first axle, and a secondary motor associated with a second axle. By way of the electronic control unit, the primary motor and the secondary motor are basically controlled in a drive-oriented manner such that preferentially only a single-axle drive by the primary motor is provided. Beginning with the secondary motor switched off, when a traction requirement is determined, the secondary motor is switched on, regardless of whether the vehicle is traveling on a curve. Beginning with the secondary motor switched on, when a traction requirement is not present, the secondary motor is not switched off until it is determined that the vehicle is not, or is no longer, traveling on a curve.
